  • Publication number: 20140098223
Abstract: A size measurement apparatus includes: a first light emitter unit for widely emitting light to an imaging area which may include an object; a second light emitter unit for locally emitting light to a part of the imaging area; an image taking unit for obtaining a range image which contains distance information on a pixel-by-pixel basis, with pixels being arranged two-dimensionally, the distance information being calculated based on a measured time value which is a time for the light emitted from the light emitter units to travel back as a reflected light; and an arithmetic control unit for controlling light emission from the light emitter units, and for calculating size information of the object based on a synthesized range image obtained by synthesizing a range image obtained during light emission from the first light emitter unit and a range image obtained during light emission from the second light emitter unit.

  • Patent number: 6693245
Abstract: A Roberval's mechanism and a lever are configured separately. To the Roberval's mechanism, a lever housing section is formed for inserting the lever in the longitudinal direction and enabling the lever to be located between a pair of the upper and the lower Roberval's sections. To the other end of the lever, a section extending outwards beyond the lever housing section is equipped. A balance driving portion are mounted to the section equipped to the other end of the lever and extending outwards. The lever block is situated to extend through a hollowed out section of the fixed end of the Roberval load block. During manufacture, the lever is formed from a separate piece that has temporary bridges formed to maintain the fixed section and the mobile sections relatively immobile so that the spring sections are protected during assembly. After the lever is connected to the Roberval mechanism, the bridges are cut.

  • Patent number: 6509533
Abstract: There is provided a conveyor capable of carrying out attachment and detachment of a portion of carrying an article easily and safely by a simple constitution in cleaning or the like and preventing parts from falling in attaching and detaching thereof. A support unit is provided with a carry unit and a motor unit respectively attachably and detachably. The carry unit is attachable to and detachable from the support unit in an upward direction. An output shaft of the motor unit can be connected to and detached from a drive roller of the carry unit by first and second connecting pieces. When a fixed state of the motor unit is released by releasing clamps, connection between the connecting peices is released and a state of fixing the carry unit to the support unit is released by releasing clamps, so that the carry unit can be removed in the upward direction.

  • Patent number: 5461231
Abstract: A passive-type moving object detection system is disclosed. The system includes an infrared detector, infrared sensors mounted on the infrared detector, a detection field including two columns of detection regions for monitoring a human intruder and two rows of detection regions for detecting a non-human intruder. The columns have a height corresponding to a human height, and an optical system is located between the infrared detector and the detection field. The infrared sensors have infrared accepting areas that include first and second sections. The first section optically corresponds to the columns and the second section optically corresponds to the rows. Each sensor receives infrared radiation from a moving object passing through the detection regions. The detector includes an arithmetic circuit that subtracts the peak values of signals generated by the detector and a decision circuit to compare the result with a reference level.

  • Patent number: 5229547
Abstract: An electronic circuit element comprising a substrate having a predetermined electric characteristic and a pair of opposing surfaces. At least one first electrode is provided on one of the surfaces of the substrate while a second electrode is provided on the other of the surfaces of the substrate so as to oppose the at least one first electrode. A lead electrode is provided on the other surface of the substrate so as to extend from an edge of the second electrode. A compensating electrode is provided to at least one of the first and second electrodes on the substrate for compensating for a difference in the overlapping area between the first electrode and the second electrode inclusive of the lead electrode, due to a deviation in a disposition of the second electrode on the basis of the first electrode.
