  • Patent number: 9398281
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus includes: a dimming device configured to adjust light quantity of incident image pickup light; an image pickup device configured to obtain an image pickup signal based on image pickup light emitted from the dimming device; and a color correction processing section configured to perform color correction on the image pickup signal that is obtained by the image pickup device, based on information relating to light quantity of the image pickup light emitted from the dimming device. The color correction processing section performs the color correction to allow a color balance value of the image pickup signal to be substantially constant independent of the light quantity of the image pickup light emitted from the dimming device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 13, 2012
Date of Patent: July 19, 2016
    Assignee: SONY CORPORATION
Inventors: Keita Kaifu, Yasuhiro Matsui, Noriko Chino, Kiyotaka Nakabayashi, Tomoya Myojin, Junya Suzuki, Manli Yuan

  • Patent number: 7009639
Abstract: To eliminate an amplitude difference between luminance signals from pixels included in horizontal lines of color filters, caused by a sensitivity difference from one photosensor to another in a CCD, and reduce a horizontal stripe-like noise appearing in a monitoring image and captured image, there is provided an arithmetic circuit to calculate an amplitude difference in Gr and Gb signals based on an output from a four-channel detector to set gains multiplied by compensation factors, respectively, with which the white balance-processed Gr and Gb signals are equal in amplitude to each other, thereby controlling the gain of a while balance amplifier.

  • Patent number: 6046863
Abstract: In a lens control apparatus, the performance does not deteriorate even if a filter is inserted and removed. Correction amounts of a focusing lens position which are necessary to eliminate an out-of-focus that is caused when, for example, a filter is inserted are actually measured at several zooming positions such as zm0, zm1, zm2, and zm3 and the results are stored into a predetermined memory such as an ROM or the like in a CPU 36 with respect to a position control of a lens. A correction amount when the filter is inserted at an arbitrary zooming position is calculated by a polygonal line approximation based on correction amounts at the several zooming positions. By adding this correction amount to the focusing lens position which is calculated in accordance with separately stored zoom tracking curve data when the filter is removed, a correct in-focus state can be obtained even when the filter is inserted.
