  • Publication number: 20060211325
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of a variety of failure modes (shrink, dark spot and the like) in a light emitting element having an organic compound. The present invention suppresses a non-light emitting region generated immediately after a light emitting element has been fabricated by making the barrier 111 have a curved surface having a radius of curvature at the upper portion or lower portion, washes the surface of the anode 110 with a porous sponge in order to remove minute grains dotted on the surface of the anode, and suppresses the occurrence of a shrink by performing the vacuum heating in order to remove absorbed water of a whole of the substrate on which a TFT and a barrier have been provided immediately before the layer 112 containing an organic compound is formed.

  • Publication number: 20050207661
Abstract: In an image processing apparatus, a pseudo tone processor performs a pseudo tone process by performing an area coverage modulation expression process with respect to M-bit image data, to thereby convert the M-bit image data into N-bit image data, where N is smaller than M. A lossy compressor performs lossy compression with respect to the N-bit image data, by suppressing fluctuations in a pseudo tone processing frequency within a certain range.

  • Publication number: 20050197034
Abstract: The surface of an anode is made flat by wiping/cleaning of the present invention. Thereafter, an organic compound layer and a cathode are formed to produce a light emitting element. In this way, the distance between the anode and the cathode becomes constant. Therefore, when an electric field is applied to the light emitting element, the current density in the organic compound layer becomes uniform. Thus, it is possible to prevent the deterioration of the organic compound layer and improve the element characteristic thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050082532
Abstract: (Object) In a light-emitting device, it is preferable that a surface of a film below a light-emitting element has flatness. Therefore, treatment such as planarization of a surface of a film is performed after forming the film. The present invention proposes a structure of a light-emitting device that can make the foregoing planarization easier. (Solving Means) The same layer as a wiring formed on a first film is used to manufacture a second film. Herewith, a portion of the first film below a light-emitting element can be prevented from being etched to form unevenness at a surface of the first film during the formation of the wiring. In addition, a surface of a third film is made higher by providing the second film to enable local planarization.

  • Publication number: 20040256979
Abstract: Processes concerning the formation of an interlayer insulating film or a contact hole increase if an electrode of a light emitting element and a wiring are manufactured with different layers. Therefore, it suggests a light emitting element with a new structure which enables to shorten the processes. A light emitting device of the present invention has a structure integrated an electrode of a light emitting element and a source electrode. Thereby, processes concerning the formation of an interlayer insulating film and a contact hole can be reduced and be shortened. In addition, an electrode structure that can be waited a portion which functions as an electrode of a light emitting element, and a portion which functions as a source electrode with its sufficient function is adopted.
