  • Patent number: 5388911
Abstract: The linear motion rolling guide unit according to this invention enables the under seals to be mounted to the end seals reliably and free from deformation such as by buckling, thereby providing good sealing for relative-sliding portions at all times. The under seals are formed at both longitudinal ends with locking holes and the end seals are formed at the lower end with hook-shaped projections, each of which has a downwardly projecting portion and a bend locking portion. Mounting the under seals to the end seals is accomplished simply by fitting the hook-shaped projections of the end seals into the locking holes in the under seals, without requiring additional fastening parts.

  • Patent number: 5388912
Abstract: The linear motion rolling guide unit according to this invention enables the under seals to be mounted to the end caps easily without being deformed as by buckling or without requiring high-precision machining. The under seal is provided, at its longitudinal ends, with locking bands that engage with engagement grooves formed in the end caps. Mounting and dismounting the under seal to and from the end caps are accomplished by expanding the locking bands in the longitudinal direction of the under seal. The under seal is allowed to undergo longitudinal and lateral deformations with respect to the end caps, which deformations caused by external force, thermal expansion and swelling. This construction prevents deformation of the under seal such as caused by buckling and improves the sealing performance.

  • Patent number: 5374127
Abstract: The linear motion rolling guide unit according to this invention enables the under seals to be mounted directly to the end seals without requiring other fastening parts, allows for machining errors and prevents the under seals from being deformed as by buckling. End seals attached to the outer sides of the end caps are formed at their lower ends with paired projections, and the under seals are formed at their longitudinal ends with locking notches. The under seals are placed in tight contact with the undersides of the casing and the end caps, and then the paired projections are inserted into the locking notches and the free ends of the paired projections are bent to firmly grip the core member of each under seal, thereby mounting the under seals to the end seals.

  • Patent number: 5360271
Abstract: The linear motion rolling guide unit has the under seals [13] mounted to the end seals [19] by fitting the engagement portions [30] formed at the longitudinal ends of the under seal [13] into the engagement holes [24] formed in the end seals [19]. The under seal [13] consists of an underside core member [27] having the engagement portions [30] and a resilient underside member [28] having lip portions [25,26]. Since the under seal [13] is not fixed to the casing [2] and the end caps [5], the under seal [13] will not easily deform or strain. Therefore, the under seals [13] attached to the end seals can seal the sliding surfaces very well.

  • Patent number: 5358336
Abstract: In the linear motion rolling guide unit, because the under seals are removably mounted to the end caps with ease, the under seals are prevented from being deformed or buckled and thus the guide unit does not require high precision machining. The under seals mounted to the end caps have lip portions that seal the gaps between the casing, the end caps and the track rail. A pair of projections provided to each end cap are inserted into an engagement opening formed in and extending longitudinally of the under seal to removably mount the under seal to the end caps with ease. The under seal is allowed to move with respect to the end caps as the under seal is deformed lengthwise and widthwide.

  • Patent number: 5356223
Abstract: The linear motion rolling guide unit permits the under seals to be mounted or dismounted easily to and from the end caps without causing deformations such as buckling to the under seal or requiring high precision machining. Projections with locking portions are provided to the undersides of the end caps and a half of each of the projections is cut away to make the projections elastically deformable. The under seal is formed with insertion holes for receiving the projections. The opposing longitudinal edges of each insertion hole are formed with locking detents at positions longitudinally offset or staggered. By elastically deforming the projections and inserting them into the insertion holes and then engaging the locking portions with the locking detents, the under seals can be mounted firmly to the end caps.

  • Patent number: 5342127
Abstract: The linear motion rolling guide unit allows the under seal for sealing the circulating passage for the rolling elements to be mounted to the end caps by simply engaging it with the end caps. The linear motion rolling guide unit also has the function of adjusting the under seal as it wears out. The under seal has a lip portion engaging with the underside of the casing and the end caps and a lip portion engaging with the side wall surface of the track rail. Locking portions are formed at longitudinal ends of the core member of the under seal, and insertion grooves are formed in the end caps attached to the ends of the casing. Mounting the under seal to the end caps can be accomplished simply by inserting the locking portions into the insertion grooves.

  • Patent number: 5324116
Abstract: In the linear motion rolling guide unit the under seals are attached to the end caps to seal between the sliding surfaces in good condition in a way that prevents the under seals from being deformed or buckled. The under seals mounted to the end caps have lip portions that seal the gaps between the slider and the track rail. The projections provided to the end caps are fitted into the engagement openings formed in the under seal to removably mount the under seal to the end caps. The under seal is movable in the longitudinal direction relative to the end caps and is not rigidly secured to the casing. This construction renders the occurrence of deformation and strain unlikely.
