  • Patent number: 6050111
Abstract: A guide drive device permits compact reception of a greater number of guide bars and nests within an existing installation space at a side portion of a knitting machine, by disposition of a drive source for guide attaching members in a space above a fan-shaped arrangement. A support member, attached to a machine frame, is provided with the drive source on the upper side of guide bars, directly, or via a base bar which constitutes an attaching and holding member. The guide bars are displaceable by operation of the drive source, and are arranged in parallel ranks successive in a direction intersecting with knitting needle rows. An angle of circumference can thereby be reduced for enhanced use of available space. The nest angle can be further reduced for improved patterning function surpassing that of a conventional Multibar Raschel machine by tightly fastening thread feed guides of the guide attaching members to driving long members respectively carrying out independent shogging motions.

  • Patent number: 5862683
Abstract: The present invention provides a patterning unit of a warp knitting machine in which a stator of a linear pulse motor is assembled in a holding member and a plurality of moving elements are provided at arbitrary intervals on the same holding member with part of the moving elements being constructed as a guide point. A control method increases reliability of accuracy of positioning of the moving elements and eliminates erroneous operation such as step-out by providing a position sensor in connection with the poles and by controlling movement of the moving elements based on detected positions thereof and a set of parameters. The control method includes providing the moving elements each with a linear motor coil assembly for functioning in conjunction with the linear motor stator to move the moving elements along the holding member.

Abstract: The present invention provides a patterning unit of a warp knitting machine having a holding member with a stator of a linear pulse motor disposed thereon and a plurality of moving elements provided at arbitrary intervals on the holding member with parts of the moving elements being constructed as guide points. A control method increases reliability and accuracy of positioning the moving elements and eliminates erroneous operation such as step-out by providing a position sensor and by exciting movement of the moving elements on a step by step basis based upon positions of the moving elements sensed by the position sensor. The control method includes providing the moving elements each with a linear motor coil assembly for functioning in conjunction with the stator to move the moving elements along the holding member.

  • Patent number: 5775134
Abstract: The present invention provides a patterning unit of a warp knitting machine in which a stator of a linear pulse motor is assembled in a holding member and a plurality of moving elements are provided at arbitrary intervals on the same holding member with part of the moving element being constructed as a guide point. The construction allows a thin linear pulse motor to be realized, erroneous operation such as step-out to be prevented in positioning control and the positioning to be carried out stably regardless of power failure or external noise. To that end, poles of the moving element are disposed so as to face poles on both sides of the stator. Moving element driving coils of the poles of the moving elements, NS directions of two field magnets and teeth of the poles of the stator are set so that a magnetic path of the field magnets runs in the same direction.

  • Patent number: 5675993
Abstract: A patterning method and device has yarn guides for guiding pattern yarns in a warp knitting machine and divisional fall plates for knitting pattern yarns in a fall plate structure individually drive-controlled through drive devices. The device comprises any number of moveable bodies having yarn guides, the bodies being installed for movement along a row of knitting needles by the drive devices. For patterning, the moveable bodies are moved through a desired distance along the row of knitting needles so as to be positioned for patterning, thereby providing a patterning zone for pattern yarns corresponding to the number of yarn guides. Thus, it is possible to effect a free varigated patterning which is comparable with the patterning effect provided by the Jacquard control.
