  • Patent number: 8606141
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an arm member. The arm member includes a cartridge abutment surface configured to abut the cartridge when the cartridge moves from a state in which the cartridge is at the attached position to a state in which the cartridge is detached from the main body, an opening and closing member abutment surface configured to abut the opening and closing member when the cartridge moves from the state in which the cartridge is at the attached position to the state in which the cartridge is detached from the main body to press the cartridge abutment surface, the opening and closing member abutment surface being substantially parallel to the cartridge abutment surface, and a force transmission portion extending in a direction normal to the cartridge abutment surface to linearly connect between the cartridge abutment surface and the opening and closing member abutment surface.

    Assignee: Canon Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Norio Furuya, Yuusuke Niikawa
  • Patent number: 8521059
Abstract: An inexpensive and stable regulating member which can control, without depending on an open/close cover, movement of a cartridge used for an image forming apparatus transportable in a cartridge-mounted state is provided. The regulating member includes a first contact portion which receives a first force applied from the cartridge to inside of the regulating member and a second contact portion which receives a second force that prevents the regulating member from moving from a regulating position by receiving the first force at a position away from a mounting and dismounting path of the cartridge where the cartridge passes when the cartridge is mounted on or dismounted from the apparatus main body.

  • Patent number: 5078156
Abstract: A sheet tobacco producing apparatus comprises a mixer, a kneader, a crusher, and a shaping machine. The mixer mixes tobacco chips with auxiliary substances including water, to produce wet round pieces. The kneader has a pair of rollers for kneading the wet round pieces to form a sheet intermediate. The crusher crushes the sheet intermediate to form crushed wet round pieces. The shaping machine has a pair of rollers for forming a final sheet product from the crushed pieces. Since the tobacco raw material is deformed from the sheet intermediate which is obtained after once kneaded, to round pieces again, it is easy to take the material iinto the gap between the rollers of the shaping machine, whicn increases the manufacturing speed of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4770194
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing wrinkled sheet tobacco by wetting a raw material powder containing tobacco with water, extruding the resultant wet powder through a gap between a pair of rollers, and separating sheet tobacco attached to the surface of one roller with a doctor knife, one of the substances selected from those enumerated below is added to the raw material powder in an amount specified below: (1) 4 to 10% by weight of an .alpha.-starch or propylene glycol alginate ester, (2) 4 to 11% by weight of a hydrolyzed starch having a molecular weight of 100,000 to 900,000, gum arabic, a carboxymethyl cellulose salt having a molecular weight of 10,000 to 20,000, or a high methoxyl pectin having a degree of methoxylation of 7 to 17% and a degree of esterification of 62 to 77%, and (3) a mixture of 1.9 to 7.9% by weight of a 4,4,6-triglucosaccharide polymer and 1.3 to 3.2% by weight of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose.
