  • Publication number: 20040102176
Abstract: The invention provides a semiconductor integrated circuit device having therein an oscillation circuit using either an oscillator or an oscillation module, which can be freely selected by the user, as an external part of a reference oscillation circuit without increasing the number of external parts and the number of external terminals. Two external terminals are provided in correspondence with an oscillation circuit. A control terminal (base terminal) of a transistor as a component of the oscillation circuit is connected to the one external terminal as one of the external terminals, and a path for feeding back a part of an output of the transistor to the control terminal is provided so that the oscillation circuit can oscillate. The other external terminal is connected to a power source voltage terminal via a resistive element of a high resistance value. Capacitor elements are connected between the two external terminals.

  • Publication number: 20040051122
Abstract: The semiconductor integrated circuit (RF IC) for a mobile telephone capable of transmitting/receiving the signals of plural bands reduces the DC offsets of the amplifiers located in the following stages of the mixers that demodulate or down-convert the reception signals. The invention scrambles the signal lines to transmit the outputs of the plural mixers that demodulate or down-convert the reception signals of different bands, so as to avoid the adjacent signal lines from making the same combination from the starting ends to the finishing ends.

  • Patent number: 6624509
Abstract: In a differential low-noise amplifier built in a semiconductor integrated circuit for a dual-band wireless transceiver, impedance components of wire bonding and package that occur in emitters are reduced and a gain is improved. Ground pins of amplifiers of the differential amplifier forming a pair are arranged adjacent to each other. Input pins and ground pins of the same amplifier are arranged adjacent to each other. Signals of the adjacent pins are allowed to have inverse phases, and trans-coupling between the pins is utilized so as to reduce impedance of the transistor emitters.

  • Patent number: 6608510
Abstract: The present invention provides a PLL circuit, which can make convergence at a high speed and convert an IF signal into an RF signal, and a wireless mobile station with that PLL circuit. An LPF charging constant current source, a discharging constant current source and a high-speed charging constant current source are connected to an output terminal of a phase comparator with current mode output of the PLL circuit. By doing so, in the case where a convergence frequency of the PLL circuit is low, an input voltage of a VCO is increased from 0V so as to be converged by using the constant current source. Meanwhile, in the case where the convergence frequency of the PLL circuit is high, the input voltage of the PLL circuit is temporarily increased to the maximum voltage by using the constant current source. Thereafter, the input voltage is gradually dropped from the maximum voltage so as to be converged by using the constant current source.

  • Publication number: 20020094788
Abstract: The invention provides a signal processing semiconductor integrated circuit of the direct conversion system, which includes a dummy amplifier having the same circuit configuration as a low noise amplifier being the first stage amplifier, in which the DC offset calibrations on the subsequent stage amplifiers are carried out during shifting into the reception mode in a state that the low noise amplifier is deactivated and the dummy amplifier is activated. Thereby, the invention achieves to suppress generation of the DC offsets resulting from the leakage noises of the local oscillator during shifting into the reception mode, and to enhance the reception sensitivity.

  • Patent number: 5957191
Abstract: A casting method and apparatus using a resin core wherein a portion of a wall of the resin core that receives a greater heat and/or load than other portions of the wall of the resin core, is increased in thickness. As a result, even if the resin core receives more heat and/or load in places, a local deformation or breakage of the resin core is effectively prevented.

  • Patent number: 5850868
Abstract: A casting method is disclosed in which a resin core is fabricated by using a resin which maintains a mechanical strength satisfying a shape accuracy required for a cast product until solidification of molten metal in contact with the core and is softened when heated beyond the core temperature at which the molten metal in contact with the core was solidified. The removal of the resin core from the cast product after the cast product containing the core from a die, includes a step of forcedly cooling the cast product containing the core down to a predetermined temperature at which the resin core can be removed from the cast product without being broken apart by pulling one of its ends, and a step of withdrawing the core at the predetermined temperature from the cast product having been forcedly cooled down. It is thus possible to cool the core down to a predetermined temperature suited for the withdrawal and preclude the inconvenience that the core being pulled is broken apart.
