  • Patent number: 5110309
Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-pole electrical connector for which mounting on a printed circuit board is simplified and which may be made as a compact design. The multi-pole electrical conenctor of the present invention includes pieces divided into upper contact pieces and lower contact pieces which are respectively disposed in a main body in upper and lower stages. The respective contact pieces have contacts which correspond to external contacts of a printed circuit board and also have contacts which correspond to contacts of another multi-pole electrical connector. The multi-pole electrical connector may be mounted on a printed circuit board and connected to another multi-pole electrical connector by contacting the contacts of the multi-pole electrical connector with the contacts of the printed circuit board and the contacts of the other multi-pole electrical connector.

  • Patent number: 5006080
Abstract: The electrical connector in accordance with the present invention may be connected to, for example, other connector mounted on a circuit board of a machine. This electrical connector is provided at one end of the housing thereof with a board connection space into or from which a circuit board incorporated in a game cassette or the like may be inserted or removed. This electrical connector is provided at the other end of the housing thereof with a connector connection portion into or from which said other connector is adapted to be inserted or removed. Thin plate-like contact members extending over the board connection space and the connector connection portion are inserted from the side of the connector connection portion into the housing of this electrical connector. The contact members are provided at the base ends thereof with transversely turned projecting pieces. By applying a punch to the projecting pieces, the contact members may be readily pushed into the housing without the contact members damaged.

  • Patent number: 4981447
Abstract: The present invention discloses an electrical connector having a first frame and a second frame each having a U-shape portion. The first and second frames are provided at the end edges of the leg portions of the U-shape portions thereof with inwardly turned engagement portions. These engagement portions of the first and second frames of the first and second frames are inserted, as brought face to face with each other, into engagement grooves formed in left- and right-hand lateral sides of a contact piece supporting member, so that the first and second frames are mounted on the contact piece supporting member. That is, the first and second frames surround the contact piece supporting member with no portions of the frames overlapping each other. A cap which overlaps portions of the frames may be slidably put and mounted on a signal cable.

  • Patent number: 4932904
Abstract: A connector for a thin cartridge is related. The connector has a first wall which holds contact members, and a second wall of which at least a portion is connected to the first wall. Only the first wall is inserted into the frame of the cartridge. The printed circuit board mounted on the cartridge is housed between the first wall and the second wall. The contact members held by the first wall come in contact with the terminals of the thin cartridge as a result of inserting the first wall into the frame of the cartridge.
