  • Publication number: 20070220173
Abstract: An image commercial transactions system and method that are able to implement sales to the purpose of the seller. An e-commerce system for selling a picture and a handling condition specific to the picture, both being recorded on a predetermined recording medium in a predetermined format. The picture to be sold and the handling condition are accepted by an acceptor in a digital format. When a transaction is established, an accounting company carries out an accounting electronically for a purchaser of the picture and the e-commerce condition, thereby both of the picture to be sold and the handling condition are sold as digital data so that the purchased picture is used in a handling manner as intended by the seller. Consequently, the selling of the picture can be made so as to satisfy the intention of the seller.

  • Patent number: 6041025
Abstract: An information reproduction method uses a first storage medium and a second storage medium. For the method a plurality of pieces of information and retrieval information are recorded in one of the storage media. The retrieval information is used to retrieve and reproduce the pieces of information with a reproduction apparatus, and information related to the information recorded in the first storage medium is recorded on a plurality of pieces of paper as the second storage medium. At first the pieces of information recorded in the first storage medium loaded in the reproduction apparatus are retrieved based on the retrieval information recorded in the first storage medium, subsequently the information retrieved from the first storage medium as output are displayed, and the information recorded in the second storage medium is retrieved based on the displayed information representing the location of the information recorded in the second storage medium related thereto.

  • Patent number: 5424722
Abstract: A display device has a time-constant circuit and a switching element such as a transistor for supplying the voltage of a battery to the time-constant circuit when a battery check key is pressed. A microcomputer measures a time interval from a time when the voltage of the battery starts being supplied to the time-constant circuit to a time when a voltage of the time-constant circuit reaches a predetermined value, and determines the remaining electric energy of the battery from the measured time interval. The microcomputer supplies data to a display unit which then displays a progressively variable display mark combination representative of the determined remaining electric energy of the battery.

  • Patent number: 5345433
Abstract: An optical disc recording apparatus in which audio data obtained by digitizing analog audio signals and time base compressing the resulting digital audio signals are read from a buffer memory on the cluster-by-cluster basis so as to be recorded on a recording track of a first optical disc and then a second optical disc. During the time interval when a cluster audio data unit next to the last cluster audio data unit written on the first optical disc by a first optical disc driver 14 is read from a memory 14, a second optical disc driver is captured into synchronization for continuously recording audio signals on the first and the second optical discs under the control of a system controller.

  • Patent number: 5317553
Abstract: A disc-shaped recording medium and a recording/reproducing apparatus employing the disc-shaped recording medium as a recording medium, are disclosed. The recording medium has a diameter of not more than 80 mm, and a recording track is formed on the recording medium with a track pitch of approximately 1.6 .mu.m. Information in excess of 130 Mbytes is recorded in a data compressed state on the recording track and the recording medium is rotationally driven at a constant linear velocity for recording and optically reproducing the information.

  • Patent number: 5305301
Abstract: A record carrier has a spiral track in which sound and/or video information is stored formed on a transparent substrate and covered by a reflecting layer of metallic material for reflecting a reading beam. The metallic layer does not extend to the inner and/or the outer edge portion of the substrate and is covered by a protective layer. The protective layer is extended to the inner and/or the outer edge portion of the substrate so as to seal the metallic layer for preventing oxidation thereof.
