    Abstract: A keyboard connection apparatus is used for connecting an information processing system with at least one of first and second keyboards which output acknowledgment in response to a predetermined command applied thereto from the information processing system. The apparatus has a connection circuit, coupled between the first and second keyboard and the information processing system, for selecting one of the first and second keyboards to pass signals from and to the selected keyboard therethrough, and a control unit for controlling the selection of the connection circuit so as to keep the selection of the selected keyboard when an acknowledgment is outputted from the selected keyboard in response to the predetermined command and to change the selection of the keyboard to the other keyboard when an acknowledgment is not outputted from the selected keyboard.
