  • Patent number: 7429246
Abstract: An organism information measuring device has a reception unit that receives organism information generated cyclically. A detection unit detects and transmits the organism information to the reception unit by electromagnetic induction. A notification unit provides notification of receipt of the organism information by the reception unit while generating electromagnetic noise. A control circuit controls the reception unit to stop a reception operation for a predetermined period less than a cycle in which the organism information is generated and controls the notification unit to provide notification of receipt by the reception unit of the organism information transmitted by the detection unit while the reception operation of the reception unit is stopped. In this manner, interference between electromagnetic noise generated by the notification unit and an electromagnetic induction signal transmitted by the detection unit is prevented.

  • Patent number: 7031229
Abstract: An electronic timepiece has a computer for controlling operation of the electronic timepiece. The computer stores in a storage medium data inputted by a user using functions of the electronic timepiece. A display time of the data is switched by the computer in accordance with an amount of the data stored in the storage medium. The computer then displays the data on a screen of the electronic timepiece by successively switching display of the data in accordance with the switched display time.

  • Patent number: 6965841
Abstract: To let the user easily recognize the results of comparison of paces. A chronograph control unit calculates a pace of running that is just completed by dividing the moving time measured by a chronograph measuring unit, by a preset distance stored in advance in a storage unit. A pace comparator/calculation unit reads the pace data recorded in the running of the previous time from the storage unit, compares it with the pace recorded this time to calculate a difference therebetween, displays the difference on a display unit, and notifies a relationship between the pace recorded this time and the pace recorded in the previous time by using a sounding unit or a light-emitting unit.

  • Publication number: 20050251058
Abstract: To prevent a generation of an interference between a data reception operation and a notification operation in an organism information measuring device of an electromagnetic induction system. When a detected signal that a heart beat detecting part has transmitted is received by a reception section by electromagnetic induction, a control section stops a reception operation of the reception section for a time of 80% of an average heart beat time and, during this interval, a notification of the heart beat is performed by a sound notifying section while synchronizing with each heart beat. By this, the interference between the reception operation and the notification operation is prevented, and a noise is masked.
