    Abstract: A mobile station is applied to a mobile radio communication system including a transmission control function.     Abstract: A receiving side compares measured quality of received data with target quality and performs variable control of a target SIR, as well as, compares that target SIR with measured SIR and transmits transmission-power information (TPC information) that is created based on the comparison result to a transmitting side, then the transmitting side performs control of the transmission power based on that transmission power control information. Furthermore, the receiving side monitors whether the transmission power has reached a limit, and stops update of the target SIR when the transmission power has reached the limit. Also, when the communication environment changes and it becomes possible to perform transmission power control, the receiving side restarts variable control of the target SIR.

    Abstract: A communication device measures delay profiles by changing a measurement period and a measurement time to appropriate values according to measurement conditions so as to improve transmission quality. A measurement-period holding unit holds for measurement of delay profiles values of the measurement period in correspondence with values indicating one or a combination of a wireless condition or a service quality level. For example, the wireless condition indicates the number of spreading codes, and the service quality level indicates reception quality. A change recognition unit recognizes a change in at least one of the wireless condition and the service quality level, and notifies a measurement-period acquisition unit of the change. The measurement-period acquisition unit acquires from the measurement-period holding unit a value of the measurement period corresponding to the change.

    Abstract: Signals from antennas A and B are alternately switched by an antenna switch at a predetermined rate. Then, the signals from the antennas A and B are alternately input to a wireless receiving unit. The wireless receiving unit orthogonal-signal-detects the signals received by the antennas A and B, and inputs the detected signals to a branch selecting unit. The branch selecting unit extracts only the signals from either of the antennas from the signals obtained from the antennas A and B, which are alternately arranged in time series, and transmits the extracted signals to a matched filter. A searcher obtains despreading timings from correlation values, and stores the obtained timings in two memories. The searcher obtains despreading timings with large correlation values, and transmits the timings to a despreading unit to perform RAKE reception.
