    Abstract: A clamp structure for a cord that improves workability during clamping a cord with using a strip band. The clamp structure includes a polarity board 1, and a connector portion 2 projectingly provided on a side surface of the polarity board 1. A corner 3 is formed by the polarity board 1 and the connector portion 2. A cord 4 is provided for transmitting a signal from a rotary switch portion 5a, and a cover 8 is provided for covering a circuit board 7 and the polarity board 1. A strip band 9 formed of resin in a strip form is provided having a lock portion 9a at one end. An engaging portion 10 is formed integral with a side surface of the connector portion 2, which is engaged with the inserted strip band 9. The cover 8 has a guide portion 11 triangular in section provided at a location adjacent to the engaging portion 10 so that the tip end of the strip band 9 inserted through the engaging portion 10 is guided along the guide surface 11 to an outside of the polarity board 1.

    Abstract: A lever switch for a vehicle including a boot having a good appearance. A manipulation lever 1 passes through a lever insertion hole 10a formed in a column cover 10 and is mounted pivotably in a switch case 5 by insertion. The boot 9 blocks a space between the switch case 5 and the lever insertion hole 10a, and a filling-up member 20 is engaged with a cut-off portion 9d of an opening portion 9c thereof, which is opened approximately in a trumpet shape. Engaging grooves 9f, with which guide rails 20a of the filling-up member 20 are engaged, are formed in inner surface portions opposite to each other of the cut-off portion 9d in the boot 9. Engaging grooves 2f are formed in the boot 9 in the inner surface portions opposite to each other of the cut-off portion, with which nails 20c or elastic nails 20d are engaged.

The case 18 includes a partition 18c, and sliding grooves 18a are formed on a lower surface of the partition 18c in a direction in which the second movable piece 25 is moved. Guide arms 25b engaged with the sliding grooves 18a are formed on the second movable piece 25. Instability preventing protrusions 25d, which are in sliding contact with inner walls of each of the sliding grooves 18a, are formed on each of the guide arms 25b.

    Abstract: A combination switch (1) includes a wiper switch (11) and a lighting switch (12) that are fitted to a main body (10). A connection member (26) is accommodated in an accommodation space (23) defined by the main body (10) of the combination switch (1) and a rotor housing (24), and electrically connects a circuit on the chassis to a circuit on a steering wheel. The rotor housing (24) is engaged with the steering wheel by pins (241, 242) and is rotatably held by a rotor attachment (25) to the main body (10) of the combination switch (1). The result is a small combination switch apparatus combined with a rotary connector, which requires fewer parts and can be assembled by a small number of steps at a car production site.

The engager (23) is engaged with the wall surface (34A) of the elongate hole (32A) The inclination angle of the wall surface is varied as the third axis is approached.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a pole panel for switches in which electric components or the like are mountable by providing a substrate on the underside of the pole panel. A combination switch has a switch case 7 detachably attached to a base. The switch case 7 has an operating lever 1 pivotally supported thereon for swing operation. A pole panel 9 is provided on the underside of the switch case 7, and has fixed contacts 14 in contact with a movable panel 6. The pole panel 9 has an opening 9h formed in the underside thereof so that terminals 15b respectively integrated with the fixed contacts 14 project into the opening 9h, with a substrate 16 provided for covering the opening 9h.

    Abstract: A housing 3 of an ignition key assembly 1, which is assembled to a steering column 8, is formed in a one piece construction with an arm 6. The arm 6 includes a base 6a and a support 6b. The base 6a extends toward the driver's seat along the underside of the steering column 8. The support 6b extends from the tip of the base 6a and is of a U-shape through which the steering column 8 extends. The support 6b of the arm 6 has seats 6c and 6d to which a turn signal switch 9 and wiper switch 10 are mounted, respectively. The support 6b also has fastening surfaces 6e, 6e and 6d, 6d for mounting the switches 9 and 10, respectively. The mounting construction simplifies the mounting operation of switch units, such as a turn signal switch and a wiper switch, and increases the rigidity of the mounting construction so as to improve the feeling of operating the switches.

The transmission 23 includes the first and second gears 211 and 221. The first shaft 22 has its axis 0 offset from a rotational axis P of the first knob 21.

    Abstract: A mounting construction which improves the mounting operation of a combination switch (3) to a steering column (1) of an automobile. The mounting construction includes a bracket (2) provided with two integral fastening projections (23, 23) which extend parallel to the steering column (1) from a key cylinder (22) of an ignition switch, and an integral threaded hole (24) located above the steering column (1). The fastening projections (23, 23) each have a first longitudinal projection (25) and a recess (26). A trapezoidal-shaped base (4) of the combination switch (3) has an insertion hole (41) in the middle of an upper side and two fitting holes (42, 42) on a lower side. The fitting holes (42, 42) are through-holes which extend parallel to the steering column (1) and into which the fastening projections (23, 23) of the bracket (2) are fitted. A resilient hook (43) and a second longitudinal projection (44) are provided in each of the fitting holes (42, 42).

    Abstract: A composite switch lever 2 for mounting on the steering column of an automobile is provided with a rotary light switch knob 25 for switching a light switch 24 and a rotary fog switch knob 28 for driving a fog light intermittence switch 29. The switch knobs 25, 28 are rotatably mounted on a lever shaft 13 and an outer cylindrical shaft 14. The switch knobs 25, 28 are coupled with each other through a related operation mechanism (A) composed of a connecting projection 32 and an interfering hole 33 for mechanically coupling the switch knobs 25, 28 with a predetermined idle angle. The composite switch lever 2 prevents a situation where a driver forgets to switch off lights upon getting out of the automobile or turning on a small light. The composite switch lever 2 also makes it possible to reduce the volume of wiring harness between plural switches and lights.

The invention provides a fitting structure that permits the rotary connector to be easily fixed to the base, and the base to be easily fixed to the bracket.

    Abstract: A slide switch S includes a sliding member 1, a fixed contact 10 of a pole plate 7, a movable contact plate 2, a spring 12 interposed between the sliding member 1 and the movable contact plate 2, pawl portions 121, 122 formed on wall surfaces 111, 112 on both sides of the sliding member 1, and slots 41, 42 engaging with and anchoring the pawl portions 121, 122 and functioning as a guide and formed on both leg pieces 211, 212 of the movable contact plate. The movable contact plate 2 is bent and expanded outward on the side of an end portion 221 of the leg piece 211 with respect to the portion where the slot 41 is formed. This slide switch construction eliminates damage between the movable contact plate of the slide switch and the pawl portions engaging with, and anchoring, the movable contact plate, and results in a smoother operation of the switch.

    Abstract: A lever switch assembly for controllably operating an automotive wiper or the like includes a leaf spring having an attachment portion whereby the leaf spring is secured to a switch board in a single fabrication process. A lever 1 is capable of vertical pivotal movement. A leaf spring 10 is operated and contacted with a fixed contact plate 14 as the lever 1 is vertically pivoted. The fixed contact plate 14 is mounted on a switch board 9. The leaf spring 10 has at its one end movable contacts 10b and 10c adapted to contact with the fixed contact plate 14, and at its other end an attachment portion 10d adapted to secure the leaf spring 10 to the switch board 9.

A cancel pin 7 rotates with a steering shaft 17. A cam guide 5 is mounted on the movable platen 3, and has elastic arms 5b and 5c that contact with the cancel cam 6 when the lever 4 is swung and the cancel pin 7 impinges on the cancel cam 6. The structure of the present invention makes it simple to mount the cam guide by forming the cam guide with an elastic arm that contacts with the cancel cam when the lever is swung.
