  • Patent number: 6486579
Abstract: An electromagnetic vibrator includes a movable body producing vibration by revolving motion or reciprocating motion with respect to its center axis through being powered from the outside. The vibrator also includes an outer shell supporting the moving body and having two mounting faces, one being vertical and the other being parallel to the center axis. A portable device employs this electromagnetic vibrator. This structure allows the portable device to gain vibration in either direction, thereby increasing the versatility of the device. When a plurality of the electromagnetic vibrators are mounted to a device with their center axes in different directions or in the same direction, vertical and lateral vibrations can be produced at the same time, so that the device owns complex vibration modes and performs versatile functions.

  • Patent number: 5877567
Abstract: A brushless motor includes a coil for energizing a motor to thereby rotate a rotor of the motor, a core having a plurality of projection poles around which the coil is wound, a terminal pin serving as a relay in feeding electric current to the coil, a lead wire extending from a terminal end of the coil, and a bracket for fixedly holding the core. The lead wire is electrically connected with the terminal pin directly or indirectly fixed to the core; and the terminal pin is extended to outside of the motor through a through-hole of the bracket so as to electrically connect with a motor driving circuit.

  • Patent number: 5623382
Abstract: A disk driving apparatus solves such problems that the position of a rotor is unstable and likely to float, and the rotor is displaced when an excessive acceleration is applied thereto, so that a hydrodynamic bearing mechanism can be used. This apparatus uses a single surface opposing type mechanism in a thrust bearing of a motor. It has a device using a magnetic attraction force to stabilize the position of the rotor and various devices for limiting the amount of movement of the rotor, in which devices members which physically contact the rotor and lock in are provided. As a result, a thrust bearing mechanism can be formed by use of a single surface opposing type thrust bearing which is simple in construction. Advantages such as low height, simplicity in construction, low price, or low consumption of power can be obtained. In particular, the feature of low height is extremely advantageous when a hydrodynamic bearing is used in a thin type apparatus.
