  • Patent number: 6735161
Abstract: A recording-medium transfer device having a anti-rattle construction is provided. A transfer roller 6 of the recording-medium transfer device is arranged above a chassis 5 to be perpendicular to a direction X of transferring recording medium. The transfer roller 6 has a structure in which a shaft is inserted in rolling member made of a material having flexibility. Projecting portions 13 and 14 are formed on the chassis 5 to oppose to both ends of the rolling member. In both ends of the rolling member, clearances are respectively formed to permit the deformation produced by its abutment with the projecting portions 13 and 14. In the process for inserting the disc, the projecting portions 13 and 14 are moved away from the transfer roller 6. Upon receiving a driving force from a driving motor 7 and gears 8 to 11, the rolling member of the transfer roller 6 is rotated keeping in contact with the disc so as to transfer the disc toward a clamping position.

  • Patent number: 6469971
Abstract: A main chassis is provided to mount a system for reproducing a large diameter disc and a small diameter disc, a pair of disc carrying rollers is mounted on the main chassis for carrying an inserted disc to the system, and a large diameter disc detector arm is provided to be pivoted by a large diameter disc carried by the disc carrying rollers so that the large diameter disc is clamped. An adapter is detachably mounted on the main chassis. A pair of centering arms are mounted on the adapter for centering a small diameter disc carried by the disc carrying rollers, and a small diameter disc detector arm mounted on the adapter for operating the large diameter disc detector arm for clamping the carried small diameter disc.

  • Patent number: 5745446
Abstract: A multi-disc storage player in which a plurality of discs can be stored and selected in the desired order for continuous programmable playing. In particular, the player includes a positioning device for relatively positioning a disc storage portion, which is capable of systematically storing a plurality of discs, and a disc playing device in the direction of arrangement of the discs; and a disc moving device for making a selected disc move between the disc storage portion and the playing device. The positioning device includes a movable member for carrying a selected one of the disc storage portion and the playing device, a driving mechanism for making the movable member move according to an instruction of movement, and a controlling device for issuing said instruction of movement to the driving mechanism until a designated position corresponding to a disc designated by an instruction of playing coincides with a current position of the movable member.

  • Patent number: 5114093
Abstract: A brake mechanism in a tape recorder for applying a brake force to a supply reel and a take-up reel. In particular, a supply reel main brake and a take-up reel main brake are rotatably supported on a movable chassis. The brakes have first ends provided with rubber pads and opposite ends provided with abutting portions which are abuttable with each other. Intermediate portions of the brakes are provided with control pins which are in abutment with the cam portion of a slider. A spring interconnects the control pins. The brakes are configured such that the abutting piece of the supply reel side main brake pushes the abutting piece of the take-up side main brake so as to cause the rubber pad to be displaced from the take-up reel stand. Accordingly, the take-up side main brake is controlled by movement of the supply side main brake.

  • Patent number: 4949203
Abstract: A tape recorder including two chassis which are relatively movable from the tape loading and unloading positions is provided. One of the chassis mounts thereon a rotary drum, a capstan, a tape loading mechanism and motors for driving these segments. Another chassis mounts thereon a reel stand, a mode switching mechanism and drive motors for driving these segments. The tape loading mechanism includes first and second guide members adapted to be movable along an outer periphery of the rotary drum. The guide members have tape draw-out pins for drawing out the tape from a tape cassette and a third guide member adapted to draw out the tape in cooperation with the first and second guide members. The third guide member has a first tape draw-out pin which changes the height of the tape draw-out position to a height which is the same as that of the tape cassette position.

  • Patent number: 4930028
Abstract: A tape draw-out mechanism in a tape recorder which has a tape cassette mounted thereon. The tape recorder includes a rotary drum having a magnetic head where a tape is drawn out from the tape cassette and wound on the rotary drum by a predetermined amount for recording and reproduction. The tape draw-out mechanism includes first and second guide members which are adapted to be movable along an outer periphery of the rotary drum for drawing out the tape from the tape cassette. Additionally, a third guide member is provided to draw the tape out in cooperation with the first and second guide members. The third guide member includes a first tape draw-out pin which adjusts the height of the tape passed through a capstan at a terminal end of the tape draw-out position to a height which corresponds to the height of the tape cassette position.
