Patent number: 8770781Abstract: It is expected to provide a lighting apparatus that can improve the radiation performance. In a lighting apparatus that includes a light source unit and a heat sink radiating the heat generated by the light source unit and is recessed and installed to an attaching hole opened on a mounted portion, the heat sink is exposed at least partially to a side where the light from the light source unit is emitted from the attaching hole. For example, when installed to a ceiling having a heat insulated structure, the heat generated by the light source unit and transferred to the heat sink is transferred inside the heat sink and radiated from one part to the air at the side where the light from the light source unit is emitted from the attaching hole. Therefore, the radiation performance can be improved.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2010Date of Patent: July 8, 2014Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hiroyuki Yamamoto, Osamu Bando, Noritaka Okamura

Patent number: 8579458Abstract: A V-shaped leaf spring is provided, at one side of the leaf spring, with a plurality of pressing parts curved convexly toward the other side thereof and arc-shaped in cross section along a longitudinal direction of the leaf spring. The leaf spring is appropriately attached to a lighting apparatus main body so that a region of the leaf spring at a bent part thereof is located downward. Thus, upon installation of the lighting apparatus main body into an attachment hole provided in a ceiling, either one of the plurality of pressing parts abuts against the ceiling having different thicknesses from above, and a sufficient downward pressing force can be exerted on the ceiling having different thicknesses, thereby allowing the component to be fixed to the ceiling with a sufficient holding force.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2009Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Noritaka Okamura, Yoshiyuki Kitamura, Hiroyuki Yamamoto

Publication number: 20110116276Abstract: In a mounting assisting member used for mounting a mounted body for a smaller mounting hole than a mounting hole provided in a mounting member to the mounting hole, the mounting assisting member, since support plate portions of the mounting assisting member come into surface contact with a peripheral edge portion in an upper surface side of a ceiling of a mounting hole by one surfaces. Accordingly, an influence of a concavity and convexity is lightened even in the case the concavity and convexity exists in a peripheral edge portion of the mounting hole, and a lighting apparatus for a smaller mounting hole than the mounting hole of the ceiling is stably held to the ceiling in a predetermined direction and by a predetermined support force.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 9, 2009Publication date: May 19, 2011Applicant: SHARP KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Noritaka Okamura, Osamu Bando

Publication number: 20110104935Abstract: A connector according to the present invention connects a conductive member such as a radiating section which radiates generated heat from a heat source functioning with supplied power and a power connection section which connects with an external power source supplying power to the heat source. The connector is characterized by having electrical insulation properties in order to electrically insulate the conductive member and the power connection section, and having thermal resistance in order to prevent deformation due to heat from the heat source.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 9, 2009Publication date: May 5, 2011Applicant: SHARP KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Yoshiyuki Kitamura, Susumu Kitamura, Noritaka Okamura, Hiroyasu Nakagawa, Shoji Yamamoto

Publication number: 20110019429Abstract: A decorative frame for covering a space formed between a mounted body mounted in a mounting hole formed in a member and an inner face of the mounting hole has a flangespaced from and opposing to the edge of the mounting hole; and a projecting part provided to extend over the whole outer edge of the flange, and therefore, a space formed between the mounted body and the inner face of the mounting hole and a space formed between the mounted body and the member due to an irregularity such as burr caused in the vicinity of the edge of the mounting hole may be covered by the flangeType: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2009Publication date: January 27, 2011Applicant: SHARP KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Noritaka Okamura, Hiroyuki Yamamoto

Publication number: 20100282446Abstract: A heat dissipation device according to the present invention includes an inner tube to which heat from LED modules is to be transferred, first fins protruding from an outer surface of the inner tube in a direction crossing the outer surface, and an outer tube covering the inner tube. Moreover, heat is transferred from the surfaces of the inner tube, outer tube and first fins which form ventilation paths (medium paths) to the air flowing at an increased flow rate by a stack effect.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2008Publication date: November 11, 2010Applicant: SHARP KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Hiroyuki Yamamoto, Osamu Bando, Noritaka Okamura
