  • Patent number: 11097738
Abstract: A control apparatus for a vehicle includes an input-rotation limiting portion configured, when the vehicle starts running and is accelerated, to calculate an estimated speed value that is a speed value of an input rotational speed of an automatic transmission upon elapse of a predetermined length of time, and to calculate an estimated force value that is a force value of a piston pressing force acting on a piston in a forward direction in a released engagement device upon the elapse of the predetermined length of time, based on a centrifugal hydraulic pressure in a pressure chamber of the released engagement device and the centrifugal hydraulic pressure in a canceller chamber of the released engagement device. When the estimated force value is not smaller than a predetermined threshold, the input-rotation limiting portion restrains an increase of the input rotational speed.

  • Publication number: 20060058937
Abstract: If oil temperature is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature and if accelerator opening change rate is equal to or higher than a predetermined change rate upon detection of a downshift instruction, an ECT-ECU sets modes corresponding to conditions for determination period calculation processings, hydraulic-pressure temporal change rate calculation processings, and torque adjustment amount calculation processings, respectively. By performing downshift on the basis of a determination period, a hydraulic-pressure temporal change rate, and a torque adjustment amount corresponding to a set mode, the ECT-ECU improves gear-shift responsive characteristics and restrains the occurrence of a gear-shift shock.

  • Patent number: 6915681
Abstract: An ECT-ECU includes a circuit that calculates an oil temperature threshold on the basis of a signal input from one of an engine coolant temperature sensor, an engine intake air temperature sensor, and an AT hydraulic fluid temperature sensor if a signal for starting an engine of a vehicle is input thereto from an ignition switch, a circuit that detects an oil temperature on the basis of a signal input from the AT hydraulic fluid temperature sensor at intervals of a predetermined sampling time while the vehicle is running, and a circuit that controls an automatic transmission to prohibit a gear shift from fourth speed to fifth speed if a detected oil temperature is lower than the oil temperature threshold.
