    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a passing type fuel reformer which can reform fuel fed into an engine so as to aim at further enhancing the improvement effect of fuel consumption, and which can be simply and surely installed in the vicinity of a fuel tank. Spherical particles (1c) are charged at a filling rate of not less than 90% in a cylindrical body (1) which is formed therein with through-holes at a rate of opening area of not less than 50%, the cylindrical body 1 is loosely fitted in a rigid tube body (2) while a seal member (3) such as an O-ring seal is provided between the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body (1) and the inner peripheral surface of the rigid tube body (2), connectors (4) are removably fitted respectively in the opposite ends of the rigid tube body (2), and a connecting pipe (5) is connected to the connectors (4), and is arranged between a fuel tank (7) and the engine body.
