    Abstract: A crescent conveyer capable of reducing weight and increasing durability. The crescent conveyer includes a plurality of slat portions (1) of a nearly crescent shape in plan view and chain members (2) linking the plurality of the slat portions (1). The slat portions (1) are formed from engineering plastic such as polycarbonate and the chain members are formed from an iron-based metal such as stainless steel. The plastic slat portions (1) can realize weight saving and can reduce a motor load. The slat portions (1) and the chain members (2) that are formed from different materials are coupled by caulking members (7). The metallic chain members (2) bring about excellent strength and durability to be able to reduce possibility of producing cracks.
