  • Patent number: 11752801
Abstract: In order to improve shock burst resistance performance while suppressing a decrease in separation resistance performance, a pneumatic tire includes a tread portion, a belt layer, and a belt cover layer. The belt layer is disposed in the tread portion. The belt cover layer is disposed on an outer side in a tire radial direction of the belt layer. The belt cover layer includes: two layers of full covers disposed between shoulder regions on both sides in a tire width direction and layered in the tire radial direction; and a narrow cover formed with a width in the tire width direction narrower than widths of the full covers. The narrow cover is disposed at a position between the two layers of the full covers and on an inner side in the tire width direction than the shoulder regions.

  • Publication number: 20230226858
Abstract: Provided is a pneumatic tire. A band-like sound absorptive member is fixed to the inner surface of a tread portion along the tire circumferential direction. An end portion in the tire width direction of the sound absorptive member is located on the outer side in the tire width direction with respect to a shoulder main groove located on the outermost side in the tire width direction. A width W1 of the sound absorptive member in the tire width direction and a tread development width TDW of the tread portion satisfy a relationship of 0.65?(W1/TDW)?0.90. The width W1 of the sound absorptive member and a belt width W2 of a first belt ply having the maximum width of a belt layer satisfy a relationship of 0.70?(W1/W2)?0.95.

  • Publication number: 20230001742
Abstract: A belt cover layer is disposed in a tire, spanning between shoulder regions, and is formed by winding one belt cover material in a helical shape around a rotation axis on an outer side of the belt layer in a radial direction, the belt cover layer includes a lap winding portion between the shoulder regions, in which parts of circumferential portions, adjacent in a width direction, of the belt cover material wound in a helical shape are lap-wound in the radial direction, a width of the lap winding portion in the width direction is 3-30% of a width of the belt cover layer in the width direction, and in portions of the belt cover layer in the shoulder regions, the circumferential portions, adjacent in the width direction, of the belt cover material are wound with out being lapped in the radial direction.

  • Publication number: 20220184910
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire includes: using a first cover material and a second cover material in a belt cover material and spirally winding the first cover material from a second side to a shoulder region on a first side; spirally winding the second cover material from the first side to a shoulder region on the second side; spirally winding the first cover material from the shoulder region on the first side to a tire equatorial plane; and spirally winding the second cover material from the shoulder region on the second side to the tire equatorial plane, the first cover material and the second cover material being layered in a region between a portion of the first cover material that is located on the second side and a portion of the second cover material that is located on the first side, thereby forming an overlapping portion.

  • Publication number: 20210354514
Abstract: A belt cover layer is formed by spirally winding belt cover materials including a first cover material and a second cover material. When one side in a tire width direction with respect to a tire equatorial plane is defined as a first side and another side is defined as a second side, the first cover material is disposed from a position between a shoulder region on the second side and the tire equatorial plane to a shoulder region on the first side. The second cover material is disposed from a position between the shoulder region (Ash) on the first side and the tire equatorial plane to the shoulder region on the second side. The first cover material and the second cover material have an overlapping portion at a position where positions in the tire width direction become positions identical to one another.

  • Publication number: 20210237518
Abstract: In a pneumatic tire, a two-dimensional code is provided on a surface of side rubber provided in a side portion. The two-dimensional code is formed of a dot pattern including two types of gray scale elements identifiably formed using surface irregularities. A two-dimensional code range in a tire radial direction in which the two-dimensional code is provided lies outward or inward of a bead filler rubber edge located outward of bead filler rubber in the tire radial direction.

  • Publication number: 20210039448
Abstract: A surface of a sidewall portion of a pneumatic tire includes: a ridge pattern region provided with a plurality of ridges extending continuously in one direction at an interval, a smooth surface region composed of a smooth surface, and a two-dimensional code having a rectangular shape in which a dot pattern is formed of two kinds of gray scale elements that are formed distinguishable from each other by unevenness of a surface. The two-dimensional code is provided in the smooth surface region, and a shortest distance Lmin at a position where a distance from the ridge pattern region to the two-dimensional code is the shortest distance Lmin among four sides of the rectangular shape of the two-dimensional code is from 3 to 25% of a length W of one side, of the two-dimensional code, the one side having the position where the distance of the two-dimensional code is the shortest distance Lmin.
