  • Publication number: 20230324604
Abstract: Provided are an LPFG and an optical transmission system in which a mode conversion amount does not depend on a polarization state and an electric field distribution. The LPFG according to the present invention includes cavity rows (25-1 and 25-2) of cavities 15 periodically arranged in a core region 11 of the few-mode fiber 10 at a position away from a central axis z of the core region 11 in parallel with the central axis z. Each of the cavity rows (25-1 and 25-2) is located at a different position in a longitudinal direction of the few-mode fiber 10 (where the position in a z direction is different), and the cavity rows (25-1 and 25-2) are located at positions shifted by 90° on a cross section of the core region 11 with the center of the cross section of the core region 11 (the intersection of an x-axis and a y-axis) as an origin.

  • Patent number: 8777486
Abstract: A packaging bag having a steam venting function capable of releasing pressure inside a package even when heating cooking is performed by a microwave oven and preventing the inside of the bag from being contaminated and the package using the packaging bag. The packaging bag includes two pieces of front and back main body films having sealant layers which are opposed to each other with the sealant layers facing inward, side seal parts, and a bottom seal part. The front body film is folded in the vicinity of the bottom seal part throughout the entire width of the bag and parallel with the bottom seal part to form a fold-in part. A steam venting port is formed in the fold-in part, and an easily peelable tape covering the steam venting port is disposed on the inside of the fold-in part throughout the width of the bag and parallel with the fold-in part, and then heat-sealed.

Abstract: A packaging bag having a steam venting function capable of releasing pressure inside a package even when heating cooking is performed by a microwave oven and preventing the inside of the bag from being contaminated and the package using the packaging bag. The packaging bag 1 comprises two pieces of front and back main body films 2 and 3 having sealant layers 2s and 3s which are opposed to each other with the sealant layers facing inward, side seal parts 5, and a bottom seal part 4. The front body film 2 is folded in the vicinity of the bottom seal part 4 throughout the entire width of the bag and parallel with the bottom seal part to form a fold-in part 8. A steam venting port 11 is formed in the fold-in part 8, and an easily peelable tape 12 covering the steam venting port 11 is disposed on the inside of the fold-in part 8 throughout the width of the bag and parallel with the fold-in part8, and then heat-sealed.

  • Patent number: 5709364
Abstract: Output reduced by a reduction mechanism A contained within a tube type motor body 5 is transmitted to a threaded shaft 13, and a nut 15 having a wing element 15a for transforming rotation of the threaded shaft 13 to propulsion is threadingly engaged with the threaded shaft 13. Then, reduction and boost is made between a linear groove 16a of a guide member 16 secured to an inner wall of the body 5 and the rotation is transmitted to the body 5 by this rotational force, thereby an arm 17 provided on the body 5 is swung so that a base 3 is adjusted upwardly and downwardly about bearing members 2, 2a mounted on slide rails 1, 1. Owing to this arrangement, since a smaller installation space can be achieved, the apparatus can be made small in size and commonly used for various types of automotive vehicles. Moreover, the apparatus can be unitized. In addition, a high torque transmission is made possible by reduction and boost.

  • Patent number: 5548801
Abstract: A system for determining and registering the location of mobile terminals in a mobile communication system using non-geosynchrous satellites, in which each land earth station transmits its identification information via spot beams of satellites or together with identification information of a spot beam and that of satellite. A mobile terminal thus receives identification information, and transmits the received identification information together with information on time of reception and the terminal identifying information to the terrestrial network for registering the latest location information. Since the latest location information of mobile terminal is registered in the terrestrial network as mentioned above, a call can be connected to the mobile terminal simply by sending a call announcement message by referring the registered location information. This leads to reduction of the number of circuits that are needed for sending call announcement messages.

  • Patent number: 5543813
Abstract: The non-geosynchronous orbiting satellites each transmit identification information given to each of spot beams irradiated from them. A mobile terminal, when registering its location, receives the spot beam identification information at some moments in time with the predetermined time interval. Then, the mobile terminal transmits the received spot beam identification information and each of their reception time together with the terminal identification information assigned to the mobile terminal. On the basis of an overlapped area of spot beam coverage areas at time when each of identification information is received by the terminal, a terrestrial network estimates and registers the latest location of the mobile terminal.
