  • Patent number: 4718808
Abstract: A delivery device of piled corrugated fiberboard boxes is provided, which comprises a hopper for holding therein corrugated fiberboard boxes in a piled mode, a front sheet receiver and a rear sheet receiver held at a position higher than is the front sheet receiver and having an inclined guide surface whose height is adjustable, both the receivers being disposed in a lower portion inside the hopper, a kicker movable back and forth on and along the inclined guide surface for kicking out obliquely the upper and lower sheet end faces of a lowermost corrugated fiberboard box, and upper and lower feed rolls disposed on the send-out side of the front sheet receiver, whereby deformation of the lowermost corrugated fiberboard can be amended and prevented.

  • Patent number: 4704034
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a gap in the junction area on a folded box which is made of a sheet of smooth corrugated fiberboard by folding the latter while both the folded ends are located opposite to one another with the gap interposed therebetween. The apparatus includes detectors which are disposed along the moving track of the folded box. Each of the detectors includes a slit formed on the moving track at a substantially right angle relative to the latter, the width of the slit being dimensioned more than that of the gap in the junction area on the box, two inclined passages formed in the detector to reach the slit, each of the inclined passages having the substantially same inclination angle relative to the moving track, a light beam emitting mechanism disposed in one of the inclined passages to emit light beam toward the slit and a number of optical fibers longitudinally disposed in the other inclined passage so as to allow reflected light beam to be transmitted therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4408530
Abstract: An improved automatic printing plate exchange system is described herein, which comprises plate holding means adapted to be mounted to a printing plate while presenting a resilient effect as a whole and having anchor-shaped engaging sections along its front and rear edges, send-out means for sequentially sending out plates, which have been preliminarily arrayed in a predetermined order, up to a predetermined position, conveyor means for receiving the plate sent out from said send-out means by engaging with the anchor-shaped engaging section of said plate holding means and conveying the plate up to a predetermined position above a printing section, a printing cylinder on which said plate can be mounted, and delivery means for receiving the plate from the conveyor means by engaging with the anchor-shaped engaging section and delivering the plate to said printing cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4331053
Abstract: There is provided a rotary die cutter for effecting a punching and scribing on a sheet which is fed between a die cylinder and an anvil cylinder disposed in parallel with said die cylinder. The die cylinder is adapted to be rotated in a predetermined direction and provided on its peripheral surface with a knife and a scribing rule. The anvil cylinder is adapted to be rotated in the opposite direction to the die cylinder and provided on its peripheral surface with an anvil for receiving the knife and the scribing rule. There is a mechanism for adjusting the clearance between the die cylinder and the anvil cylinder. A blade carrier is disposed adjacent to the anvil cylinder and slidable in the axial direction of the anvil cylinder. A cutting blade capable of cutting the anvil surface is attached to the blade carrier in such a manner as to move toward and away from the axis of the anvil cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4010677
Abstract: An apparatus for positioning a plurality of heads slidably disposed along a shaft on, in which said respective heads are disposed and set at any desired positions through the steps of conveying said heads either individually or in groups each consisting of two or more heads by means of a shifter, isolating each said head from said shifter to set it when it reaches a desired position, and repeating the aforementioned operations. Said shifter is constructed of a slave shifter provided with means for holding and releasing said head and a master shifter provided with means for reciprocating said slave shifter along said shaft by a predetermined distance relative to said master shifter.
