  • Publication number: 20020175627
Abstract: A magnetron including a cathode terminal of a magnetron main body and an inductor connected to the cathode terminal to constitute a filter, wherein the inductor includes an air-core coarse inductor and a cored inductor connected in series, the air-core coarse inductor being connected to the cathode terminal side, and the air-core coarse inductor includes a large pitch winding provided on the cathode terminal side and a small pitch winding provided on the opposite side.

  • Publication number: 20020081934
Abstract: A magnetron has an anode cylinder, a plurality of vanes arranged radially within the anode cylinder, a magnetic piece disposed at an open end section of the anode cylinder, an anode vacuum container including a metal container disposed to cover an upper surface of the magnetic piece, a cathode disposed along a central axis of the vacuum container, and an antenna externally discharging microwaves. The magnetic piece and the metal container are placed, in that order, on a shelf formed inwardly on a thin end section projecting from the open end section of the anode cylinder. When tightly welding the thin end section, a predetermined number of projections, projecting inwardly from the thin end section of the anode cylinder, loosely secure an outer perimeter bend of the metal container. The metal container is then accurately tightly weld to the anode cylinder without the metal container shifting off-center.

  • Publication number: 20020070108
Abstract: A ring-shaped depressed groove 11 is formed between a joining surface 10 of a stem insulating material 6 with a tubular metal container 16 and a joining surface 9 with cathode leads 2a and 2b. A metallized layer 8, formed at joining surface 9 and joining surface 10, is separated from edges 12 and 13 of ring-shaped depressed groove 11. The resulting magnetron reliably prevents discharges generated between the joining surface of the stem insulating material, with the tubular metal container, and the joining surface, with the cathode leads.

  • Patent number: 4802892
Abstract: As a fuel oil additive, an ethylenic copolymer is provided which is derived from:(a) ethylene, and(b) at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of vinyl esters of saturated carboxylic acids, ethylenically unsaturated mono- or di-carboxylic acids and esters thereof which are represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or a methyl group, R.sup.2 represents the group --OCOR.sup.4 or --COOR.sup.4 in which R.sup.4 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and R.sup.3 represents hydrogen or the group --COOR.sup.4 in which R.sup.4 has the same significance as above, having a number average molecular weight of less than 1,000 and a (b) component content of 1 to 25 mol %, and containing 2 to 10 alkyl branches per 100 methylene groups. Addition of the copolymer to a fuel oil provides a modified fuel oil having improved plugging resistance and having improved flowability.

  • Patent number: 4778866
Abstract: An ethylene copolymer comprising an ethylene unit and an ester unit selected from ethylenically .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated acid esters represented by the formula (I) or (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and R.sup.2 represents a halogenated alkyl group having from 1 to 15 carbon atoms; ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and n represents 0 or 1,wherein said ester unit is present in a total amount of from 0.001 to 10 mol %. The copolymer has excellent dielectric breakdown characteristics, such as electricity treeing property, water treeing property, etc., and is useful as an insulating material for high-voltage cables.

  • Patent number: 4762889
Abstract: The water absorptive resin composition of this invention is a composite comprising 5 to 95% of a carboxylate-containing water absorptive resin and 95 to 5% of a glycidyl group-containing polyolefin. The process for producing this water absorptive resin composition according to this invention comprises kneading a carboxylate-containing water absorptive resin and a glycidyl group-containing polyolefin under the kneading conditions of a kneading temperature of 120.degree. to 280.degree. C. and a residence time in a kneader of 2 seconds or more. According to this invention, there is produced a composition of excellent water absorptivity, shape maintenance and moldability into a film.
