Abstract: The mobile lift table has a base; a scissor lift mechanism mounted to the base; a tabletop mounted over the upper end of the scissor lift mechanism, and casters assemblies affixed to side vertices on the scissor lift mechanism, at intermediate vertical positions along the scissor lift mechanism, such that these caster assemblies are raised from the floor when the scissor lift mechanism is extended by a small distance, thereby immobilizing the lift table. In another aspect of the present invention, the casters are mounted directly to tabletop of the mobile lift table. Each of the casters has a rolling surface extending below the base when the scissor lift mechanism is in a collapsed position. In this particular aspect of the invention, the casters are lifted off the floor at the same time as the tabletop starts to rise, to immobilize the lift table.
