  • Patent number: 5475938
Abstract: A display apparatus having a display body with a square recess in one face thereof cooperating with a square easel foot which may be stored flat therein. The easel foot has a through slot extending from one edge thereof to an end close to the opposite edge. A pair of detent engagement pins are positioned on the sides of the foot on opposite sides of the slot. Storage detent holes in opposed sidewalls of the recess are provided, as well as two pairs of display detent holes on two different opposed walls of the recess.

  • Patent number: 4264030
Abstract: A process for sealing the exposed aluminum core of a workpiece formed of stainless steel clad aluminum material of the type in which sheets of stainless steel are bonded to the opposite side of an aluminum core to form a stainless steel skin on each side thereof. In the first step of the process, one side of the stainless steel skin (24) and substantially all of the aluminum core (14) are skived off below the exposed edge (22) of the workpiece along a cut (26). The cut (26) in the aluminum core is then ground into the shape of a convex meniscus (30). In the third step, the skin (24) on the skived off side, which extends above the meniscus (30), is rolled inwardly over the meniscus (30) and in the fourth step, the unskived skin (28) is rolled inwardly over the meniscus, thereby completely sealing the aluminum core.

  • Patent number: 4262559
Abstract: The specification discloses a method for constructing an improved cutter cone (12) for a food processing machine (10). A plurality of elongated slits (32) are cut axially along the surface of the frustroconical surface (40). A selected edge of each of the slits (32) is bent internally of the conical surface (40) at a predetermined angle to the cone to form a louvered surface (42). The inside of each louvered surface (42) is ground by means of an emery wheel to form a cutting edge (36). Each louvered surfaces (42) is then bent outwardly of the conical surface (40) at a predetermined angle to form a series of working surfaces each having an interiorly beveled cutting edge (36). The exterior of the working surfaces (34) is then polished by means of a buffing wheel to eliminate burrs.

  • Patent number: 4219165
Abstract: The specification discloses an attachment for a food cutting machine which facilitates perpendicular cutting and chopping of food. The attachment is designed for ready attachment to a conventional food cutter of the type having a rotatable cutting cone with cutting edges defined on the surface thereof and of the type also having a hopper disposed adjacent the cone for retaining and feeding food to the cutting edges thereof. The attachment, designed to position food approximately normally the cutting edges of the cone, includes a supporting surface adapted to be supported by the walls of the hopper and a bearing surface extending into the hopper short of the cone at an angle to the supporting surface.
