  • Patent number: 8342995
Abstract: A drive arrangement suitable for driving a final drive comprises a first drive means and a power-splitting gear arrangement. A first hydraulic mechanism is operable either as a pump or a motor. The first hydraulic mechanism is capable of being driven from the first drive means or from the final drive or both concurrently, acting through the gear arrangement. The final drive is drivable through the gear arrangement from the first drive means or the first hydraulic mechanism or both concurrently.

  • Patent number: 8286996
Abstract: A system and method for protecting a vehicle and, more specifically, a truck bed is disclosed. A preferred embodiment comprises a system with three parts: a protective bar, one or more joint pieces attached to the protective bar, and one or more brackets attached to the one or more joint pieces. The brackets fit over the back end of the truck bed to hold the protective bar in place, while still keeping the overall system easily removable from the truck bed. Embodiments include both a single bracket as well as multiple brackets. The protective bar prevents cargo from impacting the front of the truck bed or back window while the cargo is being loaded, unloaded, or transported.

  • Patent number: 5948644
Abstract: The invention provides excretory/secretory antigens derived from parasitic nematode species which are capable of inducing protective immunity against infection by parasitic nematode species, and related antigenic molecules. The invention also provides nucleotide sequences encoding the antigens and related molecules of the invention, recombinant DNA molecules comprising the nucleotide sequences, and transformed hosts carrying the recombinant DNA molecules. The invention further provides antibodies against the antigens and related molecules, and antibody compositions comprising the antibodies, vaccines comprising the antigens and/or related molecules and methods of treating or preventing nematode infections using the antigens and related molecules, vaccines, antibodies and/or antibody compositions of the invention.

  • Patent number: 4277416
Abstract: A system for processing coal to produce methanol, alcohol-slurry coal for transport, electric power and urea. Raw coal is graded. The downgraded fraction is gasified, producing steam and synthesis gas. The synthesis gas is converted to methanol which is then used to slurry upgraded coal for transport or to produce electric power. The steam output of the gasifier drives an oxygen generator to produce oxygen for the gasifier, when the synthesis gas is used to produce methanol, and also drives an electric power turbine. Natural gas may be used to maximize methanol production. Urea is a by-product.

  • Patent number: 3978515
Abstract: An integrated injection logic circuit cell structure and its fabrication are simplified. A pattern of oxide isolation regions is used to define, at least partially, the introduction of two types of impurities in such a way as to reduce the number of masking steps. Certain of these oxide regions do not penetrate through the conventional epitaxial layer, leaving a lateral buried path to serve as the base of a lateral injection transistor. A pattern of polycrystalline silicon containing impurities is used both as a diffusion source and an interconnection.

  • Patent number: 3962779
Abstract: A method of making an oxide isolated integrated circuit structure is simplified by forming a first level metallization pattern without the conventional underlying insulating layer and without the need for restricting the size of the metallization to the size of the semiconductor regions to be contacted. Portions of the first level metallization pattern can extend on the oxide isolation region to contact two otherwise isolated semiconductor zones. Additionally, subsequent to the formation of the oxide isolation regions and the first level metallization, an intermediate dielectric masking pattern is formed so the combination of the first level metallization, the oxide isolation regions and the masking pattern defines zones for the introduction of impurities. Further, the masking pattern alone is used to provide contact holes for a subsequently formed second level metallization pattern.
