Abstract: A photovoltaic powered flexible electronic device comprising a flexible photovoltaic module, electrodes (such as anode and cathode) incorporated into the flexible photovoltaic module, wherein the electrodes are at least partially exposed, and a flexible circuit board, wherein the flexible circuit board is attached to one of the following: (a) the flexible photovoltaic module, (b) a flexible substrate located on the flexible photovoltaic module, and (c) an adhesive located on the flexible photovoltaic module, the flexible circuit board comprising: a recharging circuit, wherein the recharging circuit is electrically connected to the cathode and anode electrodes; an energy storage unit; and a radio emitting device, wherein the photovoltaic powered flexible electronic device comprises a Young's Modulus of 150 GPa or less. The flexible electronic device can be a flexible organic electronic device.

Abstract: A sensing and/or beacon device comprising: a flexible substrate; a flexible organic photovoltaic (OPV) module comprising a plurality of organic photovoltaic cells disposed on the flexible substrate; a top electrode and a bottom electrode incorporated into the flexible OPV module, wherein the top electrode and the bottom electrode are at least partially exposed; a first encapsulation covering the flexible substrate and the flexible OPV modules, a flexible hybrid electronics (FHE) device disposed on a side of the first encapsulation, wherein the FHE device comprises flexible electronics and die components, the flexible electronics comprising conductive traces, and wherein the FHE device completes an electrical contact with the fop electrode and the bottom electrode; a second encapsulation covering the flexible substrate, the flexible OPV module, the first encapsulation, and the FHE device; and an adhesive disposed on the second encapsulation.

Abstract: The disclosed calibration method includes a calibration phantom positioned on an adjustable table on the surface of a mechanical couch, with the phantom's centre at an estimated location for the iso-centre of a radio therapy treatment apparatus. The calibration phantom is then irradiated using the apparatus, and the relative location of the center of the calibration phantom and the iso-centre of the apparatus is determined by analyzing images of the irradiation of the calibration phantom. The calibration phantom is then repositioned by the mechanical couch applying an offset corresponding to the determined relative location of the centre of the calibration phantom and the iso-centre of the apparatus to the calibration phantom. Images of the relocated calibration phantom are obtained, to which the offset has been applied, and the obtained images are processed to set the co-ordinate system of a stereoscopic camera system relative to the iso-centre of the apparatus.
