    Abstract: An apparatus and process whereby radio frequency (RF) energy is transmitted to a conductor, creating a standing wave on this conductor. This standing wave travels along the surface of the conductor through the skin effect, and this standing wave kills microorganisms, including prokaryotic cells (bacteria), that are lying along the surface of the conductor.
