  • Publication number: 20070226958
Abstract: A belt clamp with a pivotal article carrier attached thereto includes a base and a cover hinged together at the top. The cover includes a passageway at the lower end to accept a barb-like fastener integral with lower end of base to lock clamp closed. A tongue projects inwardly from the cover to contact and inhibit movement of a duty belt inside the clamp. The base includes a pair of intersecting arcuate slots and a reversible insert having one arcuate slot to make the clamp usable by either right- or left-handed users. A movable belt width adjustment bar is mounted inside the clamp to accommodate belts of various widths. Bosses around the lower opening of the cover inhibit twisting of locked clamp to prevent inadvertent opening. A locking plate is provided to inhibit rotation of fasteners used in pivotal mounting of an article carrier to the belt clamp.

  • Publication number: 20060249945
Abstract: A seat belt receiver attachment includes an elongate connection member removably mountable closely adjacent a seat belt receiver and a planar flexible shield member having an inside surface locatable adjacent a holster worn by a user with the outside surface being adjacent a seat belt receiver. The shield member and connection member include spaced side edge portions and a plurality of pairs of spaced mounting holes and may include a pair of spaced ears having mounting holes therethrough. Elongate straps are threadable through the mounting holes to secure the members together. A releasable fastener attaches the members together for assembly positioning.

  • Publication number: 20060242877
Abstract: A magazine doubler includes a resilient body with two cavities each having upstanding ribs to carry magazines therein at different heights. A bracket and spaced screws are mounted medially between the front and back of the body to squeeze the body to generally conform it to carried magazines therein. A blocking element is used to replace the top round in one magazine to prevent the upper round from being dislodged during use of the doubler. Such element is tethered and biased by a rubber band looping around one of the screw shanks.

  • Publication number: 20060157520
Abstract: Handgun locking apparatus for securing a handgun in a holster includes a lever member including a body having a forward and rear end portion mounted to the holster and a spring element projecting forwardly and outwardly from the front end portion of the body for contacting an interior surface of a holster for biasing the body against a handgun. A locking flange on the forward end contacts a handgun to positively engage a portion of a handgun to inhibit withdrawal of a holstered handgun. An operating arm extends rearwardly from the rear end portion of the body for moving the body away to move the locking flange away from a handgun. A positioning member is affixed inside a holster for engaging a handgun inserted in a holster to position a portion of a handgun in contact with the locking flange. A tension device is mounted to the inside of the holster for positioning the gun properly with respect to the locking apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20060144882
Abstract: A mounting plate and leg harness assembly for carrying holsterable items having a rigid center portion and vertically disposed sides and two spaced side panels integral with a respective side of the center portion, each side panel having an outside edge, a first pair of vertically spaced elongate slots located adjacent the center portion and a second pair of vertically spaced elongate slots located adjacent the outside edge. Two horizontally disposed straps are threaded through the respective upper and lower slots with the straps spanning the center portion. The side panels are bendable adjacent the respective sides of the center portion to conform the plate to the shape of the leg of a wearer when the straps are tightened. A vertical adjustable strap is mounted to the plate for connection to a belt.

  • Publication number: 20050115132
Abstract: A firearm safety system includes a magazine block having a pair of opposed parallel shoulders slidably inserting beneath a pair of respective lips at an upper portion of a magazine and positionable in a firing chamber of a firearm. The charging handle is made inoperable by engagement with the upper portion of the block. Once the magazine block is positioned within the firing chamber, the firearm cannot operate since the spring-loaded bolt assembly is in its rearward opened action position. Also, the lower portion of the block includes a tab for engaging the bolt catch, which inhibits the release of such catch while the block is in position. The firearm safety system may operate in a stealthy mode by attaching the magazine block to a cover plate including a pair of resilient elements for locking to a female receptor notch of the magazine block thereby rendering the magazine block, firing chamber, ejection port and a portion of at least one loaded spare magazine hidden.
