  • Patent number: 6283439
Abstract: A wall form panel for use in constructing a poured concrete wall form is preferably extruded from aluminum and a plurality of sections which are joined together form the wall form panel. The outer side most sections of the wall form panel advantageously include integrally formed and extruded side flanges to provide enhanced load-bearing capability and reduce the likelihood of failure. The extruded panel sections are coupled together along longitudinally extending joint members and reinforced beams and struts are welded to the back face of the wall panel sections for added strength and rigidity. Advantageously, the wall form panel sections can be formed in a plurality of widths and joined together in various combinations to conveniently provide a variety of widths of wall form panels. The side flanges of the wall form panels includes holes for attaching pins and other associated hardware.

  • Patent number: 6185884
Abstract: A system and associated method for forming a window opening in a poured concrete wall and installing a window therein includes a two-piece reusable window buck having a retainer temporarily coupled thereto. The retainer becomes partially embedded in the poured concrete wall and after the window buck is removed from the window opening formed in the wall, the window is easily and conveniently installed in the window opening and secured therein by the window retainer and cooperating spring clip on the window frame without the need for additional mechanical fasteners or tools.

  • Patent number: 6173937
Abstract: Standard height wall form panels for poured concrete walls are extended with cap panels positioned on top thereof and secured thereto with cap clips which can be conveniently and easily installed and disassembled with the wall form panels. Furthermore, a spreader is used to maintain the spacing of the cap panels and provide a uniformly dimensioned concrete wall. Advantageously, the spreader in one embodiment allows a worker to pass a trowel there beneath to smooth out the top surface of the poured concrete wall.

  • Patent number: 5802795
Abstract: A pin and wedge combination to couple adjacent panels of a concrete wall form together includes a self-retaining pin with a spring biased ball to temporarily retain the pin in the hole in the flange of the panel during assembly of a concrete wall form without adding significant weight to the associated components or the panels or requiring costly modifications to existing panels.

  • Patent number: 5651910
Abstract: A wall form system for use in constructing a poured concrete wall includes a plurality of panels aligned in an edge-to-edge configuration to form spaced wall forms. The wall forms are maintained in a spaced relationship by a tie which includes a pair of cutouts which mate with notches in the side edges of each of the panels at the juncture between adjacent panels. A retainer is provided to secure each end of the tie to the outer face of the adjacent panels. After the concrete wall is poured and hardened, the wall forms are easily disassembled by breaking a first frangible section from the tie and removing the wall form panels and then breaking a second frangible section from the tie which is projecting from the concrete wall. The ties and retainers are disposable and easily assembled with the wall forms thereby alleviating the need for collection and retrieval when the wall forms are disassembled.
