    Abstract: The absorption of moisture by the unfinished edge of an exterior wooden door, particularly through the bottom edge, is prevented by overlaying a sheet-form or tape bridging member over the edge of the door and bonding the member by an adhesive to such edge to form a moisture impervious bridging sealing layer.
