    Abstract: A roller bearing knee replacement joint is provided in which a femoral component attached to the surgically prepared distal femur is positioned for articulation on a tibial component, which simulates the articulating surface of the natural tibia. The articulating surface has replaceable roller bearing units which provide the contact with the femoral component. A bearing mounting member has spaced bearing unit receptacles which are adapted to receive the bearing units laterally and permit the lateral removable therefrom. The roller bearing units reduce friction between the components and may be replaced with less extensive surgical procedures than in other replacement procedures. A patella component has a patella button which rides in a central concave groove in the femoral component and is mounted on radial roller bearings to provide rotational movement for the patella button to emulate the motion of a natural patella.

    Abstract: A concealed post lock includes an elongated cylindrical post having an enlarged head member secured at one end thereof and at least one locking member movably mounted at the other end thereof. The post contains a lock cylinder which is normally restrained from rotation within said post by locking pins but which are released by insertion of the proper key in the cylinder so that the cylinder may be rotated by the key. The cylinder is operatively coupled to the locking member for moving the locking member between a locked position and an unlocked position when the cylinder is turned within the post. In the unlocked position of the locking member, the locking member is located within the confines of the periphery of the post. In the locked position, the locking member projects outwardly from the periphery of the post.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger tube plug, which is used to seal the ends of heat exchanger tubes and similar conduits, comprises a hollow housing member which has at one end a relatively large open bore surrounded by a thin wall, and a relatively smaller threaded bore which communicates with the larger bore. An insert member is provided which, in use, is threaded into the smaller bore thereby causing a tapered portion which is formed on the insert member to engage the open end of the large bore causing it to expand and bear against the wall of a heat exchanger tube into which the heat exchanger tube plug has been inserted.During use, the housing member is prevented from rotating relative to the heat exchanger tube by means of an eccentric assembly which is mounted on the end of the housing member.

    Abstract: A combination lock includes a plurality of setting wheels each having a sliding pin and each having a plurality of numerals marked on a peripheral surface. When the setting wheels are rotated to a predetermined combination of numerals, the sliding pins form a linear array. A manually operated plunger urges a cam surface against a first end of the linear array of sliding pins and transmits a force through the sliding pins causing a second end of the linear array to bear against a latch bar thus opening the combination lock.

    Abstract: A pickproof cylinder lock has a plurality of key-actuatable spring-tensioned pin tumblers wholly received in the cylinder and slidably mounted therein, and a ball connected with each pin to be raised or lowered with the pin. The balls are normally held in inactive positions by their pins, but when a proper key is inserted, the balls are brought into active positions by their pins and form a straight link through which key actuation of the pins is translated into a force on a lock-operating member to move the same to a lock-open position. A spring member normally locks the lock-operating member rigidly in a lock-closed position, and the force produced by the balls in their active position is also directed against the spring member to move the latter to a position in which it releases the lock-operating member.
