  • Patent number: 7630082
Abstract: Improved methods and systems for feedback signals in a sensor system. An example method demodulates a sense signal using an analog demodulator and also demodulates the sense signal using a digital demodulator. The difference between the result of the analog demodulator and the digital demodulator is determined and then integrated. A sensor feedback control signal is generated based on the integrated difference.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 12, 2007
Date of Patent: December 8, 2009
    Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.
Inventors: Lee K. Strandjord, Norman G. Tarleton

Abstract: Improved methods and systems for feedback signals in a sensor system. An example method demodulates a sense signal using an analog demodulator and also demodulates the sinse signal using a digital demodulator. The difference between the result of the analog demodulator and the digital demodulator is determined and then integrated. A sensor feedback control signal is generated based on the integrated difference.

  • Patent number: 6157876
Abstract: An image sensor attached to an aircraft generates an image. The image includes a runway and other objects. The edges within the image are detected and Nav Data is used to predict the coordinates defining the runway. The predicted coordinates and the detected edges are correlated to determine the location of the runway within the image. The location of the runway within the image is then used to determine the lateral and vertical deviation of the aircraft relative to the runway.
