    Abstract: A knock-down boom is removably installed on a pick-up truck so as to be manually raised or lowered for moving a load either onto or off the truck. The boom can be readily disassembled in a few minutes by separating the legs forming the boom and storing them in a convenient compact area. A jib can also be mounted on the outer end of the boom for extending its overall length.
