The tensioning system provides for avoiding over-tensioning the drive belt when the drive belt is disengaged from a drive shaft. The tensioning system may also provide for maintaining continuous operation of the drive shaft as the drive belt is moved between engagement and disengagement with the drive shaft.

Abstract: Provided is a composition for the treatment of diarrheal disease, comprising a polyphenol-rich extract of a mixture of 80-20% by weight of blueberry or bilberry from Vaccinium cyanococcus spp., Vaccinium myrtillis spp., or both; and 20-80% by weight of sloe berry from Prunus spinosa spp. Other compositions, and methods of making and using the compositions for the treatment of diarrheal disease are disclosed.

The apparatus comprises a mold which can accommodate one or more tissue samples, a hands-free means for supporting the mold, an insulated container for holding a cryogenic material or refrigerant, and an optional cover for the insulated container. The invention also relates to methods for freezing the tissue specimens.

Abstract: A bone biopsy instrument kit includes a hollow needle with an annular cutting edge which is rotated to cut a core of bone sample which is retained in the internal passage of the needle. A semi-circular portion of the needle wall is removable to withdraw the core sample without compressing or otherwise changing the consistency of the sample. The annular cutting edge has a sawtooth configuration with a side rake angle causing bone dust to be expelled radially without contaminating the core sample. An elongated obturator and an elongated trocar may be inserted through the needle to direct the annular cutting edge through tissue and to center and guide the instrument into the surface of the bone.
