  • Patent number: 5372311
Abstract: A pressurized liquid dispensing container and valve assembly comprises an essentially upright container for containing under pressure a liquid to be dispensed and a discharge valve assembly above the container. The valve assembly includes a valve body and a nozzle having a discharge opening that is controlled by a valve. The valve includes a frustoconical valve seat formed in an end wall of the nozzle, and a frustoconical valve head which is axially movable between an inward seating position and an outward position in which the valve is open. A protective cap is screw threaded on the outside of the nozzle and has a discharge aperture in its outer end wall. The valve head has an outer end surface that normally abuts against an inside surface of the cap so as to restrict flow from the nozzle through the discharge aperture in the cap. The cap when screwed tightly holds the valve closed. Partial unscrewing of the cap adjusts the amount of valve opening and rate of liquid discharge.

  • Patent number: 5303853
Abstract: Container assembly for dispsensing liquids under pressure comprising an upright container for liquid under pressure and having a vertical axis, an essentially cylinder valve body whose axis is transverse to that of the container, and a discharge nozzle which is coaxial with the valve body. The discharge nozzle has a front end wall and a frustoconical valve seat in the front end wall defining a fluid discharge opening that is larger at its outlet than at its inlet. A manually operable and axially movable male valve member which opens outwardly controls liquid discharges. The outer surfaces of the male valve member and the nozzle end wall on flush and devoid of recesses for ease of cleaning. A protective cap holds the valve closed.

  • Patent number: 5160072
Abstract: A valve for a fluid pressurized dispensing container that is useful for the low pressure dispensing of medium and low viscosity fluids at controlled rates and is actuated by merely inverting the container and in which the flow of the dispensed liquid begins practically instantly as soon as the container is inverted.

  • Patent number: 5084953
Abstract: A machine for installing an elastic sleeve onto the expandable part of a pleated inner liner of a pressure dispensing container. The container herein referred to is of a non-aerosol type, and uses the contracting force of a tubular rubber sleeve rather than a gas for the dispensing power.

  • Patent number: 5083681
Abstract: Valve for a fluid dispensing container. The valve comprises a hollow valve body having a nozzle extending axially in one direction therefrom. At the discharge end of the nozzle is a valve seat in the shape of a frustum with the largest diameter of the frustum being at the tip end of the nozzle, and a normally closed axially moveable valve member that seats on the valve seat so as to prevent discharge of fluid. The valve also includes an axially moveable valve stem connected to the valve member, and a moveable actuating ring encircling the valve body and connected to the valve stem so that movement of the actuating ring causes axial movement of the valve stem and valve member to open the valve.

  • Patent number: 5020691
Abstract: An outer shell for gasless type of self pressurized container and a method of manufacturing it, that is particularly designed for use with the type of self pressurized containers in which the pressure for the discharge of an agent is obtained by using an elastic sleeve that surrounds a plastic liner.

  • Patent number: 4836253
Abstract: A container for receiving and retaining contents under pressure is provided with an improved valve structure to prevent contamination of the discharge valve during the filling operation. The valve structure includes a check valve which is opened when filling the container, and a sealing element which engages and surrounds a filling tube thereby preventing the contents from reaching the discharge valve. Additionally, purging of the discharge mechanism will clean the same of any residue that may be found therein.

  • Patent number: 4731976
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and apparatus for applying a strong elastic sleeve on an article. Especially if the elastic sleeve is very strong and the article is somewhat fragile. It is intended for the container industry, but may have other uses.

  • Patent number: 4346677
Abstract: A variable length stroke piston is provided in an internal combustion engine having an engine block means including a toroidal shaped cylinder, a piston positioned in the cylinder for arcuate reciprocation therein, a piston rod means pivotally positioning the piston for movement about the center axis of the toroid defining the cylinder, a regulatory shaft positioned parallel to a crankshaft and with a connector link extending therefrom, articulated link means pivotally interconnecting the piston rod to the engine connecting rod and operatively connecting to the regulatory shaft, and means operatively connect the regulatory shaft to the accelerator controlling the engine to rotate the regulatory shaft through a controlled arc with changes in the setting of the accelerator and reduce the length of piston stroke with reduced fuel supply to the engine to maintain substantially uniform compression in the cylinder at all times.

  • Patent number: 4153186
Abstract: A dispensing syringe comprising telescopically engaged inner and outer sleeves or cylinders having corresponding dispensing ends and open receiving ends, an insert cup extends across and is positioned in the outer cylinder at its dispensing end, and a pair of identical resilient seal diaphragms engaging the outer surfaces of the dispensing end of the inner cylinder and of the insert cup for flow of material through the syringe in one direction. The seal diaphragms are of the same constructions for resilient engagement with the ends of the inner sleeve and the insert cup.
