    Abstract: A lockdown system for a low rise building including a roof structure with sheathing disposed over a plurality of roof rafters, the roof structure forming eaves around the periphery thereof, the system comprises a loop of rafter cable for being secured around the eaves of the roof; and a plurality of anchor cables operably secured to the rafter and to the ground, the anchor cables being adapted to exert a downward force on the rafter such that lift forces generated during high winds are counteracted.
