Abstract: A cleaning apparatus is disclosed for processing a moving surface. The cleaning apparatus includes a pad that is attached to a support structure, wherein the pad includes a plurality of pad apertures and the support structure includes a plurality of support structure apertures. A vacuum is provided proximate the plurality of support structure apertures for removing debris from a moving surface during use as well as for facilitating cooling of the pad during use.

Abstract: The device (10) and method are used for ventilating an offset pocket space (12) located in a drying section of a papermaking machine by injecting air from at least one heated dry air supply inlet (11). The offset pocket space (12) is situated between three axially-parallel drying cylinders (20) over which consecutively runs a paper web (14). A first and a third of these cylinders (20) are vertically spaced from a second one. The paper web (14) is pressed against the first and the third cylinder (20) by a felt (16) which further runs around a felt roll (26) having a rotation axis parallel to that of the cylinders (20). The felt roll (26) is disposed between the three cylinders (20) in an offset position which is closer to the first cylinder (20) than the third cylinder (20).

Abstract: An automatic and integrated mechanical and electrical accelerometer test system including a test fixture for holding the accelerometers to be mechanically and electrically tested; a handler subsystem for automatically feeding the accelerometers to the test fixture; a shaker subsystem for mechanically testing the accelerometers, the shaker subsystem linked to the test fixture, the shaker subsystem automatically vibrating the test fixture; and a tester for electrically testing the accelerometers while the accelerometers are vibrating.

Abstract: A doctor blade is made from an elongated strip of reinforced composite material which material forms fibrillated protrusions when cut. A plurality of cuts are made in the material which form recesses or tabs. The recesses are offset to increase the effective thickness of the strip so that it can be inserted longitudinally or transversely into a doctor blade holder. The fibrillated protrusions maintain the recesses in an offset position.

Abstract: In a pulp or papermaking machine a doctor blade assembly including two doctor blades used in association with a machine roll for scraping material from the same wherein one blade is supported by a standard support member and the other blade is supported by gussets coupled to the support member with the second blade being a spaced distance from the first blade.

Abstract: A warp restoring device for use in a neck of a stringed musical instrument. The device comprises a pair of rods held in parallel relationship. A connecting block is secured at a common end of the rods. A threaded member cooperates with the connecting block to cause limited axial displacement of one of the rods. A rod connection is spaced from a far end of the rods to immovably interconnect both said rods in a connection zone to control the position of a bending zone for the rods when the threaded member is rotated in a predetermined direction.
