  • Patent number: 10878891
Abstract: A power-supply circuit for a memory includes a bitcell power-supply circuit and a bitcell power-control circuit. The bitcell power-supply circuit includes a first terminal coupled to a bitcell of the memory. The bitcell power-control circuit is coupled to the bitcell power-supply circuit, and controls the bitcell power-supply circuit in a write-assist mode to output a first voltage on the first terminal that is based on a ratio of capacitance of the bitcell and of capacitance of a charge-sharing capacitance. The bitcell power-control circuit further controls the bitcell power-supply circuit in a data-retention mode to output a second voltage on the first terminal that is about one diode drop below a voltage of a main power supply to the bitcell. The bitcell power-control circuit also controls the bitcell power-supply circuit in a power-down mode to turn off power output from the first terminal.

  • Patent number: 8578671
Abstract: The pressure plate assembly is used for securing curtain wall panels. The pressure plate assembly includes an elongated base member and an elongated stiffening member. At least a portion of the interior main face of the stiffening member is removably engagable against a corresponding mating surface on the exterior main face of the base member. The stiffening member is made of a material having a mechanical stress resistance higher than that of the material of the base member. At least one longitudinally-extending thermal insulation chamber is provided within a space located between the interior main face of the base member and the interior main face of the stiffening member.

  • Patent number: 8402714
Abstract: The system includes a plurality of mullion retrofit adaptors, each having a rear side configured and disposed to fit over the front side of at least some mullion of the existing supporting framework. It also includes a plurality of new mullions, each having a rear side configured and disposed to fit over at least some of the retrofit adaptors. A method for refurbishing an existing curtain wall attached to a base structure is also presented. This proposed concept can significantly reduce the time and costs for refurbishing an existing curtain wall.

  • Publication number: 20120023825
Abstract: The watertight patio door assembly includes two adjacent and laterally offset door panels mounted in a door frame, at least one of the door panels being slidably movable within the door frame. It also includes a combined air and water passageway located within a sill section of the door frame. The passageway provides a continual fluid communication between a location at a bottom end of a clearance gap, located between adjacent vertical frame members of the door panels when the patio door assembly is closed, and the exterior side of the patio door assembly. Two spaced-apart sets of weatherstrips create a vertically-extending buffer air space within the clearance gap. The disclosed arrangement can greatly improve watertightness between the door panels during severe weather conditions without the need of a complex arrangement and/or weatherstrips impairing the movement of the sliding door panel or panels.

  • Patent number: 6434071
Abstract: Precharge circuitry for reading a data bit from a memory having at least two local bit lines comprises at least two precharge transistors for precharging the at least two local bit lines, at least two “keeper” transistors for keeping the at least two local bit lines, and a NAND gate for receiving the data bit from the memory via one of the at least two local bit lines and switching the at least two “keeper” transistors. The precharge circuitry does not need an additional inverter for switching any of the “keeper” transistors, thereby eliminating additional capacitance associated with the inverter and reducing unnecessary power consumption associated with the “keeper” transistors. Preferably, the transistors used in the precharge circuitry are p-channel metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs).

  • Patent number: 5544457
Abstract: The bead comprises a frame having front and rear longitudinally extending spaced-apart flanges. The front flange faces the windowpane when the bead is interlocked with a lateral projection of a framework. A weatherstrip is connected and extends along the frame before the front flange. The weatherstrip has a portion overlapping at least an end portion of the front flange for preventing direct contact of the front flange with the framework. Two flexible portions project from the weatherstrip. The first flexible portion presses against the periphery of the windowpane and the second flexible portion presses against the framework. A securing device interlocks the bead with the lateral projection of the framework. Heat losses are reduced because the bead has no direct contact with the framework and with the air surrounding the periphery of the weatherstrip.
