The first member is provided to penetrate the source line. The first member includes a first portion which is far from the substrate, and a second portion which is near the substrate. The first member includes a first contact and a first insulating film. The first contact is provided to extend from the first portion to the second portion. The first contact is electrically connected to the substrate. The first insulating film insulates the source line from the first contact. The first member includes a stepped portion at a boundary part between the first portion and the second portion.

Abstract: An under thread supply apparatus for a sewing machine comprises a bobbin case, a bobbin exchange device, a thread removal device and a winding device. The bobbin case is removably set to a shuttle of the sewing machine and accommodates a bobbin with the thread wound thereon. The bobbin exchange device takes the bobbin case out of the shuttle, and set the bobbin case accommodating the bobbin with the thread wound anew therearound to the shuttle. The thread removal device removes the thread from the bobbin accommodated in the bobbin case which is taken out. The winding device winds a preset amount of thread around the bobbin after the thread is removed therefrom.

Abstract: A cloth edge control device for a sewing machine includes a pair of rollers, an optical sensor, and controller. The pair of rollers are arranged near a needle location in such a manner that the rollers are rotating about an axis perpendicular to a direction in which a cloth material is fed, so as to be pushed against the cloth material. The optical sensor is adapted for detection of the cloth material at a plurality of points on a line along a direction intersecting with the feed direction before the needle location. The controller detects the position and curvature of the edge of the cloth material according to a light intercept signal from the optical sensor and rotates the rollers independently of each other according to the position and curvature thus detected.

Abstract: A bobbin thread removing device includes a bobbin rotatably supported on the bobbin thread removing device; pull-out apparatus for pulling out a thread wound on the bobbin; bobbin rotation detecting device for detecting the rotation of the bobbin from which the thread is being removed; and control device receiving a signal from the bobbin rotation detecting devices, for driving the pull-out apparatus to pull the thread out again when the control device detects that the bobbin is not turning in accordance with the signal from the bobbin rotation detecting devices.
