    Assignee: American Cyanamid Company
    Inventor: Nunzio R. Pasarela
  • Patent number: 4518580
Abstract: There are provided novel expanded corncob grits and a method for the preparation thereof. The expanded grits which possess increased absorptivity are found to be useful in the formulation of insecticidal baits, especially fire ant baits, and other agricultural compositions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 30, 1984
Date of Patent: May 21, 1985
    Assignee: American Cyanamid Company

  • Patent number: 4485103
Abstract: There are provided pesticidal compositions of low mammalian dermal toxicity comprising granular carriers impregnated or coated with a phosphorus containing pesticide, such as 2-(diethoxyphosphinylimino)-1,3-dithiolane, 2-(diethoxyphosphinylimino)-4-methyl-1,3-dithiolane, 2-(diethoxyphosphinylimino)-1,3-dithietane, 0,0-diethyl S-(ethylthiomethyl)phosphorodithioate and 0,0-diethyl S-{[(1,1-dimethylethyl)thio]methyl}-phosphorodithioate, and any equivalent thereof, and further coated with an acrylic polymer, and methods for preparing same. Furthermore, there are provided compositions which will release toxicant into the surrounding environment either over a relatively short period of time in a controlled fashion or over a prolonged period of time.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 7, 1982
Date of Patent: November 27, 1984
    Assignee: American Cyanamid Company
