Abstract: An antiqued rag Tibetan weave carpet is disclosed. An example carpet includes for each row within a loom (i) a row of knots tied with a yarn that has been hand-carded and hand-spun into a single ply, each knot looping around at least two warp strands, (ii) two or more cotton weft strands that have been weaved next to the row of knots, (iii) the row of knots compacted with an adjacent row of knots within the loom, and (iv) a loop of each knot having been cut. The example carpet having been cut from the loom and sheared. The warp strands of the carpet having been trimmed. The example carpet also having been subject to a first chemical wash and a second chemical wash, where the first chemical wash and the second chemical wash is a combination of sulfuric acid, acetic acid and caustic.
