Abstract: Disclosed herein are a secure Near Field Communication (NFC) apparatus and method for supporting various security modules. The NFC apparatus includes an NFC unit, a protocol conversion unit and a security module. The NFC unit transmits information corresponding to a first signal based on a first protocol via non-contact NFC and generates a second signal based on the first protocol from information received via non-contact NFC. The protocol conversion unit converts a signal based on a second protocol into a first signal based on the first protocol and converts the second signal based on the first protocol into a signal based on the second protocol. The security module receives and outputs signals based on the second protocol.

Abstract: A power control method for an RFID reader in a mobile terminal includes the steps of: checking a driving mode of a display in a standby mode where no power is supplied to the RFID reader; if the driving mode of the display is a sleep mode, maintaining the RFID reader in the standby mode, and if the driving mode of the display is an operation mode, checking an RFID menu interface; and if the RFID menu interface has no RFID automatic detection function settled therein, maintaining the RFID reader in the standby mode, and if the RFID menu interface has an RFID automatic detection function settled therein, supplying power to the RHO reader so that the RFID reader is switched to a read mode.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for minimizing interference between RFID readers built in a mobile terminal, it is possible to minimize interference between readers by assigning an operating time specific to the mobile terminal at a specific point of time of a cycle of a mobile communication network signal according to an identity number of a mobile terminal, even when several readers are scattered in a predetermined area and they try to detect one tag at the same time.

Abstract: Disclosed are an interface architecture of subscriber information management, billing, prepaid system for mobile network system, and a prepaid method using the interface architecture. The present invention is embodied by a Workflow engine classified as a business logic and a processing logic to access the interface rapidly for clients. Abstract: A secure NFC apparatus includes a plug-in socket, an NFC unit, and a protocol matching unit. A security module is inserted in the plug-in socket. The NFC unit communicates with the outside via non-contact NFC using signals based on an S2C protocol. The protocol matching unit determines the type of chip in the inserted security module, generates a chip identification signal according to results of the identification, and matches the protocol of the signals based on the S2C protocol, which are input to and output from the NFC unit, with the protocol of the signals, which are input to and output from the security module, according to the chip identification signal.
