  • Patent number: 10923984
Abstract: An electric machine has a rotor on a rotor shaft. The rotor shaft is supported on bearings such that the rotor and the rotor shaft are rotatable around an axis of rotation. The rotor is surrounded radially on the outside by a stator, the stator by a casing. Covering elements are arranged at the axial ends of the rotor and stator, by which the rotor and the stator are enclosed with respect to the environment of the electric machine. One covering element is surrounded radially on the outside, and axially on the side facing away from the rotor and stator there, by an air guide element, the other covering element by an inner ring element. First and second cooling channels running axially are arranged in the casing or between the casing and stator. Rotor channels running axially are arranged in the rotor shaft and/or in the rotor.

  • Publication number: 20190058367
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a weight-optimized, meridian-accelerated rotor including permanent magnets securely supplied with a required cooling during use. The disclosure further relates to a corresponding electrical machine, in which the problem of demagnetization of existing permanent magnets due to rotor temperatures that are too high is avoided. The rotor or the rotor of an affected electrical machine has an annular structure on the outside radius for receiving the permanent magnets. The rotor also has a conical hub structure on an inside radius and a plurality of at least rib-shaped or blade-shaped structures between the annular structure and the conical hub structure in order to form a mechanical connection of the annular structure and conical hub structure.
