Abstract: Compounds of formula I ##STR1## where R.sub.1 -R.sub.5, R.sub.8, R.sub.13, m and n are as defined herein. The novel compounds have valuable biocidal properties. They can be used in crop protection for protecting cultivated plants against attack by pests, and for controlling those pests.

Abstract: Novel 3-picoline-N-oxides of formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently of each other are hydrogen or halogen, R.sub.3 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, n is the number two or three, and Y is nitrogen or the methine group, can be used as pesticides. Especially insects are controlled.

Abstract: The invention relates to pesticidal compositions which contain 2-(3-pyridyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazoles or 5-(3-pyridyl)-1,2,4-thiadiazoles of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is ##STR2## and each of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, to the novel compounds of the formula I themselves, to the preparation thereof, and to the use thereof in pest control.

The novel compounds exhibit especially pronounced activity against plant-destructive mites.

Abstract: Novel substituted acylamino-s-triazine compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, R.sub.1 is hydrogen, or C.sub.2 --C.sub.12 -acyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen or C.sub.1 --C.sub.4 -alkoxy, and R.sub.2 is C.sub.2 --C.sub.12 -acyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen or C.sub.1 --C.sub.4 -alkoxy, including the salts thereof. The novel compounds have valuable insecticidal and laryicidal properties, and can be used as active substances for controlling phytoparasitic and zooparasitic insects, expecially the larvae thereof, amongst these in particular ectoparasites.

Abstract: The invention relates to (di)alkoxycarbonylamino-s-triazine derivatives and their sulfureous representatives of formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 alkyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 cycloalkyl;R.sub.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 cycloalkyl or the group --C(X)--ZR.sub.3 ;R.sub.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 haloalkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 alkenyl or C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 haloalkenyl;X is oxygen or sulfur; andZ is oxygen or sulfur;and to the acid addition salts thereof. The invention also relates to the preparation of said compounds from the diamino-s-triazines on which they are based and to the use thereof against pests which are pathogens of domestic animals and cultivated plants.
