Patent number: 9761009Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for controlling displacement of a location indicator on the display of a controlled computing device in response to movements of a remote controlling object. Various embodiments may further cause the controlled computing device to perform other operations, broadly referred to as command operations, in response to movements of the controlling object. The command operations are distinguishable from the displacement operations. Various embodiments may further distinguish between movement of the controlling object intended to correspond to a displacement operation and movement of the controlling object intended to correspond to a command operation.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2015Date of Patent: September 12, 2017Assignee: SESAME ENABLE LTD.Inventors: Oded Ben Dov, Giora Livne

Patent number: 4885839Abstract: A broadcasting arrangement includes a source of signals to be transmitted which is subject to distortion in the event that signals are reflected. An antenna is adapted for radiating all the signal applied to a polarization sensitive input part with a particular polarization. The antenna is mounted on a tower. A waveguide is coupled to the source of signals and to the input port of the antenna. If the waveguide is circular waveguide, the windload on the tower due to wind loading of the circular waveguide is low, but flexure which occurs results in polarization changes which causes signals applied to the antenna input port to be reflected, thereby reducing radiated power and causing distortion. If the waveguide is rectangular, the wind loading is high and the tower must be more sturdy and therefore more costly than for circualr waveguide. A truncated circular waveguide is used which has a wave propagation channel defined by a cylinder and a pair of parallel longitudinal plates in the cylinder.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 1987Date of Patent: December 12, 1989Assignee: General Signal CorporationInventor: Oded Ben-Dov

Patent number: 4654962Abstract: A waveguide having reduced windloading yet a relatively wide bandwidth for the dominant mode of propagation comprises an elongated cylinder having substantially parallel plates forming an interior waveguide portion which in cross-section is a doubly-truncated circle. The plates are symmetrically disposed about the central axis of the elongated cylinder.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 1985Date of Patent: April 7, 1987Assignee: Sola Basic Industries, Inc.Inventor: Oded Ben-Dov

Patent number: 4590479Abstract: A high-power broadcast television arrangement includes high-power aural and visual carrier sources with rectangular waveguide outputs. A circular waveguide connects the antenna at the top of a tower with the bottom of the tower. In order to avoid an expensive, lossy and complex diplexer for combining the visual and aural carrier signals into a single waveguide, a waveguide turnstile junction couples the visual and aural signals from their respective rectangular waveguides into right- and left-hand circular polarization propagation modes in the circular waveguide. A hollow cylindrical slotted-waveguide antenna at the top of the tower receives the dual-polarized aural and visual signals received from the circular waveguide and radiates a television signal with the aid of resonant radiating slots and polarization-insensitive couplers.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 1984Date of Patent: May 20, 1986Assignee: RCA CorporationInventor: Oded Ben-Dov

Patent number: 4317122Abstract: A circularly polarized broadcast antenna includes a vertical mast and a plurality of bays spaced along the mast. Each bay includes at least one crossed dipole fed in quadrature mounted adjacent the mast. Each bay also includes a sleeve which may be .lambda./2 long disposed about the mast to act as a choke to prevent induced current flow on the mast. Current flow in the sleeve creates a vertically-polarized field component which perturbs the directly radiated field and increases the axial ratio. A polarizer is mounted orthogonal to the mast, and the currents induced in the polarizer are orthogonal to and in phase quadrature with the reradiated field of the sleeve to improve the axial ratio.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 1980Date of Patent: February 23, 1982Assignee: RCA CorporationInventor: Oded Ben-Dov

Patent number: 4011567Abstract: An antenna for radiating substantially circularly polarized signals omnidirectionally about and substantially broadside a support mast is provided by conductors wound about the mast. The conductors are spaced from the mast and are equally distributed about the periphery of the mast with signals coupled to the conductors such that the phase of the signal coupled to one conductor is 180.degree. out of phase with the phase of the signal coupled to adjacent conductors and is in phase with the phase of the signal coupled to the alternate conductor. The number of conductors wound about the mast is selected to be twice the mode number wherein the mode number is the number of 360.degree. linearly phase changes of the electric field in one circumference. The pitch angle of the helically wound conductors and the radius of the helix formed by the conductors is selected to achieve substantially, circularly polarized radiation substantially perpendicular or broadside the lengthwise axis of the mast.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 1976Date of Patent: March 8, 1977Assignee: RCA CorporationInventor: Oded Ben-Dov

Patent number: 3943522Abstract: A circularly polarized antenna system adapted to provide an omnidirectional pattern over a fairly broad band of frequencies when mounted to a sizable tower is provided by four turnstile fed horizontally polarized radiating elements spaced at 90.degree. intervals about the support tower and by four vertically polarized dipoles with each vertically polarized dipole mounted vertically spaced from a respective one of the four radiating elements. The four vertically polarized dipoles are spaced from each other and are fed in a manner to cause the horizontal pattern of the vertically polarized field associated with the vertically polarized dipoles to be of similar shape and magnitude and in phase quadrature to the horizontal pattern of the horizontally polarized field associated with the four horizontally polarized radiating elements.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 1974Date of Patent: March 9, 1976Assignee: RCA CorporationInventor: Oded Ben-Dov

Patent number: 3940772Abstract: An antenna for radiating circularly polarized signals omnidirectionally about and broadside a support mast is provided by four conductors helically wound about the mast. The pitch of the helically wound conductors is selected relative to the radius of the conductors to achieve substantially circularly polarized radiation substantially perpendicular or broadside to the lengthwise axis of the mast.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 1974Date of Patent: February 24, 1976Assignee: RCA CorporationInventor: Oded Ben-dov

Patent number: 3932876Abstract: A circularly polarized antenna having an end fed short length helical conductor within a conductive funnel-shaped reflector is described. A broad beam width and a relatively low axial ratio is achieved by the termination of the short length helical conductor about a conductive disk and by providing a reflector of shallow depth.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 1974Date of Patent: January 13, 1976Assignee: RCA CorporationInventor: Oded Ben-Dov
