  • Publication number: 20150171658
Abstract: The present invention provides wireless charging techniques and devices for charging electronic device(s) within a closed space defined by a substantially hollow housing containing an antenna arrangement and configured to define an inner cavity for propagation of electromagnetic radiation from the antenna arrangement. The housing has an inner surface, encompassing the inner cavity, which geometry and material composition selected to define a general propagation path for the predetermined electromagnetic radiation from the antenna arrangement towards a charging zone. The inner cavity of the housing operates as a waveguide for directionally guiding the electromagnetic radiation to the charging zone and providing substantially maximal intensity of the electromagnetic radiation within the charging zone.

  • Patent number: 7342648
Abstract: A system for automatic mapping of a walled structure includes at least one mobile unit, preferably worn by a user. The mobile unit has a position tracking system for tracking a current position of the mobile unit, a wall detection system including a sensor arrangement for measuring range data from the mobile unit to at least four points, and a mapping processor associated with both the position tracking system and the wall detection system. The mapping processor processes the range data and, if the at least four points lie on a common plane according to a defined criterion, maps a wall in corresponding spatial relation to the current position. The mobile unit preferably also includes a wireless communication link for transmitting and receiving data indicative of the mapped walls to other mobile units and to a remote command control unit.

  • Publication number: 20060238403
Abstract: A system that includes a synchronized network of three search and track radars and associated processing means and communication channels. The radars are configured to detect and track the target. In response to detected target, an interceptor is launched towards the target. The radars are configured to measure and track the target and the interceptor. The target and interceptor ranges are accurately measured by the radars in the synchronized network, giving rise to synchronized accurate range measurements that are combined by range triangulation to provide accurate target and interceptor position measurements irrespective of the angular measurement accuracy of each radar. The processing means are configured to utilize the measurements to calculate interceptor maneuvers required to overcome errors and bring the interceptor close to a target. The maneuver commands are transmitted to the interceptor using the communication channel.
