  • Patent number: 10702999
Abstract: A spacing comb arrangement for a hair cutting appliance includes a comb piece configured to be disposed at a skin-facing side of a stationary blade of a blade set. The comb piece has a plurality of comb teeth that define a cutting length of the blade set when the comb arrangement is mounted thereto. The comb piece further has a flexure section configured to urge a frontal portion of the comb piece against the skin-facing side of the stationary blade.

  • Patent number: 10561855
Abstract: The present disclosure concerns a lighting device (100) and a method of masking an edge transition (15e). An edge structure (15) provides the light with a first edge transition (L1) along a circumference (15e) of the edge structure (15). A patterned layer (11) is provided between the edge structure (15) and the front side (31) of the device. The patterned layer (11) comprises a gradient edge pattern (11g) configured to provide the transmitted light with a second edge transition (L2). The gradient edge pattern (11g) is configured with respect to the circumference (15e) of the edge structure (15) to smoothen the first edge transition (L1). A diffuser (10) is disposed between the front side (31) and the patterned layer (11) for scattering the light of the second edge transition (L2) to smoothen the second edge transition (L2) of the gradient edge pattern (11g).

  • Patent number: 9713876
Abstract: A shaving head includes at least one cutting unit in which an external cutting member is subjected to a shaving action. The external cutting member is suspended relative to a holder of the shaving head through suspension means. The suspension means includes at least two pivot constructions, wherein one pivot construction enables a member of the suspension means to be pivotable relative to the holder. The other pivot construction enables the external cutting member to be pivotable relative to the suspension member. Furthermore, a pivoting stiffness of a connection of the latter pivot construction is lower than a pivoting stiffness of the first pivot construction. In this manner, good contour following performance is obtained at two levels, in both relatively small and relatively large curvature changing areas.

  • Patent number: 8261452
Abstract: A shaving device comprises a head structure (2) and a base structure (4). The head structure (2) is configured to retain and support at least one shaving head (30A, 30B, 30C). The head structure (2) is releasably retainable on the base structure (4). The base structure (4) is free of support elements in an area of an outer circumference of the head structure (2) such that the head structure (2), when coupled to the base structure (4), is not supported in the area of its outer circumference. The head structure (2), when coupled to the base structure (4), is substantially only retained on the base structure (4) by a retaining force provided by a retaining structure of the base structure (4).

  • Publication number: 20110308088
Abstract: A shaving head (3) comprises at least one cutting unit (4) in which an external cutting member (5) which has a function in contacting skin to be subjected to a shaving action is arranged, and which is suspended relative to a holder (8) of the shaving head (3) through suspension means. In particular, the suspension means comprise at least two pivot constructions, wherein one pivot construction enables a member (9) of the suspension means to be pivotable relative to the holder (8), and wherein another pivot construction enables the external cutting member (5) to be pivotable relative to the suspension member (9) as mentioned. Furthermore, a pivoting stiffness of a connection of the latter pivot construction is lower than a pivoting stiffness of the first pivot construction. In this way, good contour following performance is obtained at two levels, in both relatively small and relatively large curvature changing areas.
