  • Publication number: 20220180690
Abstract: Some embodiments of the current invention relate to an automatic and/or sanitary dry goods dispenser. Optionally, a manual dispenser may be upgraded for automatic dispensing. For example, a motor optionally opens and/or closes a dispensing valve fully and/or partially. For example, the opening and closing may be adjusted to achieve a desired flow rate and/or dispensing volume. Optionally, the device may include a valve biased to a closed configuration. Optionally, a motor that opens the valve for a fixed time and/or for as long as a switch remains in an activated and/or oscillates the valve. Additionally or alternatively, a manual operation option is available. In some embodiments, the opening and/or closing may be preprogrammed. For example, a user will purchase goods and/or a program will be transferred to the dispenser according to his purchase.

  • Patent number: 9587972
Abstract: There is provided a dry food dispensing apparatus for connecting to a storage receptacle, for the purpose of controlling the portion size and accuracy of the dispensed food, the apparatus having a base providing a housing defining a hollow circumferential interior with a centrally disposed hub, an extraction element disposed in the housing for extracting a first pre-determined portion of the dry food, a rotatable cell holder having a centrally disposed socket for engaging the hub of the base from above, having at least one open-bottomed cell for receiving and temporarily storing the extracted first pre-determined portion; and a dispensing aperture formed in a bottom of the base for releasing the first temporarily stored portion when the extraction element is operated to extract a second pre-determined portion, and the extraction element is operated in a cyclical fashion to obtain from the extracted portions a desired quantity of the dry food.

  • Patent number: 7703639
Abstract: A system for dispensing a granular product. The system includes a refillable, sealable receptacle, having a neck at its lower end, a rotatable and flexible impeller within the neck, with the shape and size of the impeller conforming generally to the shape and size of the neck, providing sealing for maintaining the freshness of the granular product. Preferably the impeller comprises a hollow central core, and a shaft extends through the hollow core into at least one through-hole formed in the neck. A handle is present for turning the shaft to rotate the impeller. A base is provided with a retaining arm for removably receiving the receptacle. The system is capable of easy disassembly for cleaning, by removal of the receptacle and impeller from within the receptacle. Also provided is a multi-system for dispensing a plurality of products; having several receptacles and associated dispensing mechanisms mounted on a single support.

  • Patent number: 6964355
Abstract: A hermetically sealable dispenser for measuring and dispensing predetermined amounts of a granular product without breakage of the product. The dispenser comprises a container which can be filled with the product, and a flexible, rotatable, paddle wheel fixed within the container. The spacing between paddles of the paddle wheel form measuring compartments. The dimensions of the paddle wheel are such that the wheel forms a hermetic seal near one end of the container. A lid is provided to seal the upper end of the container such that the product is stored in an air-tight compartment prior to dispensing.
