Abstract: The present invention is of a system for inspection of containers, the system comprising: a chamber for accommodating a container, the chamber unlit and sealed to any external light; at least one light source configured to be positioned in the container to illuminate the interior of the container; and at least one light detection device disposed at the interior of the chamber and configured to detect light from the at least one light source, wherein the detected light is emitted from the container into the chamber; wherein the detected light is used to detect damage to the container.

Abstract: A joint replacement device includes a male component with a structure to couple to a bone on one side of a joint, and an outer articulation surface that is attached to the structure via a neck. A female component is configured to couple to a bone on an opposite side of the joint and includes a cavity that is surrounded by an inner articulation surface. An opening of the cavity is shaped to enable insertion of the outer articulation surface into the cavity when the outer articulation surface is aligned with the opening, and to prevent separation of the male component from the female component when rotated so as not to align with the opening. The neck is located within the opening and the outer articulation surface is rotatable within the outer articulation surface with a rotation that is limited by dimensions of the opening and the neck.

Abstract: A medical device, comprising: a medical strut; a preloader configured to store energy, wherein the medical strut is configured to transform the energy stored in the preloader to a first force applicable to a bodily tissue; an actuator configured to apply a second force to adjust the length of the medical strut, thereby facilitating the transforming the stored energy to the first force; and a controller configured to control the actuator.

Abstract: A device for fixation of bone tissue and methods of using same are provided. The device includes a first anchor positionable within a first bone region, a second anchor positionable within a second bone region and a wire interconnecting the first and second anchors. The wire is attached to the first anchor via an elastically deformable element having a force constant (K) of 20-80 N/mm along a longitudinal axis of the first anchor.
